And I meant JWs don't have a culture of giving money. Of course in terms of time and afford they beat most other religions by a mile. It's ironic therefore that WT have failed to turn this zeal toward financial contributions.

i think one strange view is how only 144000 go to heaven.
since the number is mentioned in the symbolic book of revelation, you would expect that the number would be viewed as figurative, but jws say otherwise.
Overlapping generation is so embarrassing they never talk about it in conversation, ever. Speaks for itself.
if you have a look at the december broadcast on jw tv they tell you that they wont be showing you a normal format for december but the 143rd event of gilead because the watchtower does not have the resources other wise to translate it many different lanuages.. with all the cuts the watchtower have made and are going to make you would have thought that they would have lots of resources.

They made money (a lot of it) by selling books. Now defunct. Hence the financial crisis.
i feel that there aren’t many of that type anymore, but there have to be some – mostly old-timers.

I've no doubt things like that go on a lot, but it's the odd insertion of the amorous adventures into this thread by a novel poster which renders it implausible rather than intrinsic implausibility of the events described in themselves.

JWs have no culture of contributing to their organisation. Only when you observe the fanaticism with which other groups collect tithes (Mormons and SDAs in particular) do you realise how dramatically in deficit WT is (metaphorically and literally) when it comes to collecting money. The membership is not currently an asset to Watchtower, it is a liability. Which is why the GB are no longer eager to promote growth, especially in poor countries. Each member added is a net liability not an asset, due to decades of mismanagement and bad strategic decisions.

Yes I would do things differently. With a bit of imagination and courage they could transform the organisation into its true potential: a prosperous, truth loving, freedom of thought preserving, community of believers and true friends.

I wouldn't be surprised if they produce 1000 videos or so and then say: "that's enough folks, what more do you want?" Replay them endlessly until our head hurts.
It really seems the GB are winding things down.
