hi everyone.... i was "raised" as a dub and got baptised in '86...so in total i had been a jw for over 20 years.
i came to realize that the "way of life" i was living was in fact made up of mostly lies.
i started "questioning" the borg about 6 years ago and finally came out with almostatheist last sept. i know in my heart that they are mostly wrong and very legalist.
When people first enter a Kingdom Hall they usually still have strong reservations about Witnesses, but over time their objections are knocked away one by one - if they decide to hang around for long enough.
When a new poster arrives on JWD they are often already critical of Jehovah's Witnesses, but they are not yet entirely accepting of the apostate worldview. Over time, if they hang around, they gradually conform to the apostate view of Jehovah's Witnesses.
What is the difference???

I think this topic demonstrates why the Witnesses' involvement with the UN was no big deal in the first place. Witnesses have always used worldly organisations to their advantage while pouring scorn upon them in their internal literature.
The only reason this was highlighted recently is because apostates have learned how to scream louder using the internetwork.
for example.....no more parking fees at conventions (due to the "apostates") , resigning as an ngo from the un, etc.....do you think "we" are running the watchtower??

you name it - c of c, gentile times reconsidered, thirty tears a watchtower slave, the orwellian world of jehovah's witness, apocalypse delayed, and the freeminds and watchtower observer sites, so on and so on.
and i have been reading the posts on this site regularly pretty much since it started, and hourglass before it.

i've noticed there are a lot of jw's in good standing on here these days... i know its a small sample but it seems promising.. any current circuit overseers/district overseers post on here, that would be crazy.
