  it was the paragraph talking about people who don't want to be j.w's being executed, and it being an act of compassion from jehovah towards his witnesses..

  Charming little comment right there.

  Plus "appropriate" is one of their favourite words. They consider themselves the world experts on what is "appropriate", from when it's "appropriate" to ignore family members to when is an "appropriate" time for God to act. I'd like to do a search of WT literature for "appropriate" occurrences. They are especially good at telling God what is appropriate.

  How would we ever know what is appropriate without Watchtower to tell us?

  November 2017 monthly program affected by apostates??

  i recently watched a video about a kingdom hall demonstration from a link on this site, and in the comments on youtube somebody said this: .

  i understand that the "apostate" activity this week has caused the wt/gb to change the content of the november jwbroadcasting episode and will delay its release until they can figure out how to spin this activity.. .

  has anybody heard of this or is there any truth to this?

  Splane is the most wooden presenter imaginable.

  The later speaker says:

  "The apostates are talking about, the media has picked it up, others have also picked it up..."

  I wonder who he means, "others have also picked it up" apart from "apostates" and the "media". The Australian Royal Commission, maybe? Or maybe he didn't have anything in particular in mind. Just a sentence filler. JW speakers have a distinctive way of speaking that is especially devoid of actual information.

  I just wonder, if peoples worst fears about Brexit are realised and imports carry a tarrif, could they come unstuck with this?

  What imports? WT will probably stop printing altogether before too long. Selters will be the next to go.

  It’s amazing that they don’t explain what the purpose of the new branch will be without any printing.

  When they announced the new branch they said it was necessary because magazine production is expanding and Britain is the key branch for magazine production. That was only a couple of years ago they said that. I wonder if they will delete the video.

  I think the fact they’ve reported increasing partaker numbers for around a decade is pretty surprising. And perhaps indicates overall honesty in the numbers. (So far)

  But I doubt they’ll keep publishing the numbers much longer.

  I used to love poring over the figures in the KM in the late 1990s. I lost interest in going on the ministry around the time they stopped publishing the detailed monthly figures.

  If they stop publishing the numbers, will JWs still be motivated to submit reports? If they stop requiring JWs to submit reports will they still go on the ministry? If JWs stop going on the ministry can the religion survive?

  Pull at one thread and perhaps the whole unravels.

  Witness Royalty and the last day at the "Towers"

  my uber elder cousin and his wife got the "privilege" of having one last "toast" of wine at the rooftop garden at the towers in nyc since the jw's are vacating to warwick.

  his oldest daughter and son in law are quite high up in the inner circle so they get invited to all the "inner circle" activities.

  even though they aren't supposed to toast to anything it was pretty darn close.

  Oh yeah, no Yearbook.

  It's like last orders on the Titanic.

  Did they invite the GB to the party?

  Yes and going back further I think pioneer hours were once 100 hours, and further back still, even more than that, maybe 120 or so.

  Elders are allowed to count various activities including giving talks, I believe. I have no idea how longstanding that “allowance” is.

  No statistical categories are stable or straightforward.

  Presumably you mean per year not per month.

  And it’s intereeting that hours have gone down since carts began, despite it being “easier”. The amount of time on door to door, when you subtract carts time, must be much less now than previous years and decades.
