I hurt..
by Dirt Rocker ini got surgery on my hand a few days ago and it f-ing hurts!
i had an extra muscle in my left hand so i go it removed.
and now it really hurts... .

Do You Now Feel Liberated Since Leaving The "Truth"?

once you realize how much bondage you were under....it's easy to feel good not having the weights of man made rules.
it's very liberating for me to tell people that i no longer associate with the jw religion----very liberating!!

Welcome Puff Candy!!!!! I'm so glad that you found this forum. It's just what you need right now. I read your story and like many others it broke my heart. To see the JW's come between family, that loving bond between a mother and child or a father and child. It truly breaks my heart. I myself have been through this at your age and I am going through it again myself. My mom and I are speaking but it is very strained. My sister and I are not speaking right now due to different beliefs/non beliefs. I have found that what has helped me is just to not spend as much time with my family. I am getting stronger spiritually, my own sense of spirituality, that is. Not the JW sense. You will be able to relate to others here on this forum, single some out if you think that may help. I have made some really good friends here. I talk to them all the time. Everyday in fact. If you ever want to talk, feel free to contact me. I'll help you in anyway I can or I'll just listen. Is your family close??...
by Hecklerboy ini was talking to a good friend of mine the other night on the phone and i was telling him about my wife wondering why my family isn't very close.
when we started thinking about it we both decided it was because we grew up jw's.
i would love to be closer to my family, but it just seems we have nothing to talk about.

My family and I have always been close. I guess that all depends on what you determine as close. I see other families now and I am starting to think that maybe my family wasn't and isn't so close after all. It seems that we're only close on their terms, that being, me being a JW. When I'm not a JW, our relationship is strained. It's very sad really. Even my relationship with my Dad suffers because he is caught in the middle. I am going to try really hard this time to stay neutral. Not give my opinions, so to speak. We'll have to see how it goes. We haven't had a family gathering since I left the ORG. We used to have them all the time. As you can see, my family is starting to stray. I will do my best to keep it together. Right now I just need some space or have just needed some space. I am starting to get my act together now. Emotions etc. Whenever something is going wrong in your life, JW's always attribute it to leaving the ORG, so I find it best not to tell them or include them in your problems. Hugs Redhotchilipepper

did you grow a beard, start having sex with whoever, start drinking, start gambling?
