I have to say that I totally agree. My son is on the honor role. My Mom kept saying that he was getting bad grades and not doing his chores because we weren't going to meetings and that he wasn't getting the scriptural guidance from the bible. Well I made sure that my son called his Grandma to tell her about his high honour role status. Not low honour role, but high. I got a letter in the mail and everything. I am one proud Mom. He is a fine young man and we haven't been to meetings for quite some time now. I am not acting out. I am not partying. I am being respectful, and living my life, day to day. The JW's drink and party more than I do. I know this for a fact because I used to be one! They drink and party alot. Just recently a freind of mines daughter was telling me about a party that she went to. The girls had a snake sliding through their legs. Yes, a snake. I said, isn't that kind of bad behavior girls. They acted all innocent and not knowing. Well they knew exactly what they were doing. " Ew, the snake, its going to bite me, get it out from between my legs". I was baffled. I said " Do you think you should be behaving like this in front of boys, what do you think they are thinking"? The girls were laughing, thinking it was funny. JW girls, me not going to meetings, thinking, what the heck is this org. coming to. I have never acted like that as a "Worldly Girl" ever. I seriously couldn't believe it. It was a real eye opener to me. I certainly don't feel bad about anyway that I'm behaving. There's alot that goes on behind closed doors that the Elders sure don't know about. I heard it all in one weekend and said to myself " I am done with this crap ". Talk about hypocrites. There was alot more that I can't even type. It's just not right! I'm not a prude, I just don't believe in living a double life. I never did that ever! Either your in or you out! None of this in between stuff. How can they believe that they are JW's and live with themselves!

i was informed that the biblical scholars inserted morals into these stories.
i was given the examples of adam and eve, flood of gilgamesh=flood of noah, the devil/beelzebub of persian origen.

Someone brought it to my attention recently about how the story of Adam and Eve sounds pretty far fetched. I had never thought about it before, really, as it was always taught to me as a JW and a given. I thought about it pretty hard! (pause) Actually, I didn't have to think about it that hard. I mean come on. A snake comes down and entices the woman (Eve) to eat from the tree where she will learn the knowledge of the good and bad if she eats from it. It sounds like a Harry Potter theme book/movie, really! I don't know why I didn't see it a long time ago. Hello, people! What planet are we on here! It's a bit far fetched to me. Job: Ask any person: If you have children? Your beloved child dies. Example. David. He is dead. God replaces him with a different child, ten children. Is this going to fill that void. Is this going to replace David. "NO". I say. 50,000 Children will not replace one of my children. It's just a thought. These are seeds of doubts or doubt that were and have been planted in my head. Well it has worked. I no longer believe! That is not a just God. Not to me anyway. Biblical fairy tales/stories! Definately! Sorry to turn jokes into reality!

What a beautiful little girl! It's so sad to see that she has been ruined by her parents at such a young age, ruined by the World, and not protected by our socalled God! What a shame indeed! I cried when I read this! It broke my heart! So many, too many stories and situations in the World are going on like this, this very second! What can we do! Nothing! It's bloody pitiful!

or do we just leave ourselves open to any and every post and comment on a sensitive issue once it is started?.

my mom-in-law (a jw for 50+ years) was just on the phone with an old childhood friend of hers (a baptist and perfectly content with her religion) that lives down south and she told her that "god doesn't want you to have a christmas tree...you should know that by now.
" grrrrrrrrrrr......i just wanted to slap her.. how dare she try and ruin someone else's holidays spewing her poison!

My friend is actually my tenant next door! I was at her place today! This is quite funny! Her cats,she has 2, consider her bedroom their domain(boudoir)as we call it! My daughter was sleeping on the bed, well the one cat, fuzzbutt, she was really put out. She was huffing around the house. She usually never comes out of the bedroom. My friend says to her husband." What's the matter with fuzzy" Well her food dishes are put up due to my 18mo old, her bed is being slept in. This is one po'd kitty. It was so funny. My friend and I just started laughing and pet the kitty like crazy. She was just one unhappy cat. The kid had taken over her kitty domain. She always gets like that when my daughters over. It's hilarious. You should see when we bring my cat to visit. Now that's priceless! The two female cats are on the floor and the male cat has the whole bed! Man oh man! Literally! 2 female cats growling and my male cat sleeping without a care in the world!!! It sounds too close to real life!
