Russell is to Freemasons as "Apostates" are to JWD
by watch the tower inyour latest russell freemasonry fix here.
this makes perfect sense to me.
stop trying to look for hard evidence just short of russell being raised from the grave, grabbing a bullhorn and shouting "i was a mason!".

New Light! Invisible Armageddon!
by jstalin init is going to be announced that with all the anticipation for the coming of armageddon, we didnt notice the actual event.
thats right, it was an invisible armageddon.
if we take the 70 years of captivity, plus 1914, we get 1984. then we use the people equal hours rule and apply it to the 144,000, using division, and we get 6,000. then we use the hours equal years rule to divide 6,000 by 360 to get 16.66 additional years, add that to 1984, and we get the year 2000 for armageddon!

The Septuagint or the Hebrew Text, Which Should Christians Choose?
by Nate Merit in(the following article by nathaniel j merritt was originally published in 1996 in the now-defunct orthodox way magazine, a small theological journal which explored obscure or controversial issues in the eastern orthodox spiritual tradition.
should christians embrace the greek septuagint translation of the old testament or the hebrew text?
if we are jews, then by all means let us embrace the hebrew text.

Apostasy in the early church? NO
by greendawn inhaving checked the history of the early church to the time of constantine, i find the claim that the church apostasized after the death of the last apostle around 100 ad as being grossly mistaken.
to cut a long story short it appears that those holding high ranks (ie the bishops) in the church did eventually become corrupted through lust for power and glory culminating in the unnatural union with the roman state but there never was a wilful corruption of doctrine and loss of divine grace as the jws claim in that period.
things with the r&f carried on much as under the apostles with some churches being spiritually strong and some weak.
