Oh, sorry . . .didn't realize that was a LION behind the bridge geese. Well, I hope IT doesn't sllip on the goose shit and falls in the water and drowns either.

Danny . . .I love that picture of the family feeding the geese, however, the kids who are crossing the bridge behind the other geese better be careful. They might step into some geese/ goose ( ? ) shit and fall in the water and drown !

The Organization Is A (fill in the blank space)
by metatron inok, here's the challenge: how do you tell your witness "friends" and relatives that you don't think it's the "truth" - without them labeling .
you as an apostate and fleeing in terror?
i'm tired of questions behind my back like "doesn't he go to meetings?

"The Organization is Organized Crime" Here is one poster who is not afraid to speak the truth! And, I believe this thought has occurred many times to most XJW's.

Is America one big cult?
by barry indont get me wrong im not a yanky basher like some we know but when visiting my dad the other day got me thinking when he played a dvd he had.. the dvd was of a concert of religious music by the assembly of god and the sdas most of the program was very good with excellent prerformers and uplifting music.
i thought the sdas in the states looked like they were being influenced by the more charasmatic a of g people because many were raising there hands like the aof g do.. there was nothing too unusual until about two thirds through when some marines marched in with the yanky flag with a marine either side complete with rifle .
the remainder of the concert was dedicated to nationalistic hyms of which i cant recall the titles.

I don't know about the entire USA, however, I do know that down here in the Florida panhandle it's like no where else I've lived in the country, and that covers 5 states ( mid-west through far South ) After 11 years in Chicago this place seems like I 've gone back in time . . .to one big political/church goin'/flag wavin'/might is right/damn the environment ( if it happens to be in the way of our business interests )/big-ass pickup truck gas guzzlin' vehicles/condominium buildin' on the beach no matter what the people say . . .locales that truly believe God is only on their side. Reparations for Native Americans come wrapped in a shiny, bow topped basket filled with vice inducing comehethers ( what's your problem, it's only gambling ? ) Bingo halls everywhere slicing away the petioner's grocery money . . . . . .need I go on?
It's all really sad. My heart breaks for my country. A country where I served for 22 years , risking my life and limb to save others and their property. A country where my brother lost the back of his left leg and buttocks in that old war, the one in SE Asia. A country where my Dad served in the South Pacific on Quadacanal. A country where another member our family spent his life ( no names please ) working for the State Dept. in far away countries.
Where is my country; why have the far left and the far right destroyed it? Where is my country/ my soul on earth?

I wonder if Spillane returned ( or gave away ) the royalties he received from the sale of his books after he became a Witness ?

Reminder about your mother, (AKA: FAMILY SUCKS)
by wanderlustguy insometimes i just get hit again with the knowledge that some things will not always be there...and if we aren't careful, opportunities will pass us by.
same goes for other family members, so many aren't able to contact their families now, and wish they had said more, called more, hugged more.

Just keeping my ( JW ) kid's interest in me has been a difficult undertaking. In 1983 I moved to the part of the country where they were living. Then they ( mom and step-father and kid's ) moved a little further East ( was it me ? ) and turned a 2hr. drive into a 5-6 hr. drive. Then after my kids married I was living in Chicago, my son in Detroit and my daughter Columbus, O. I was transferred to Indianapolis . . . right in the middle of both kids residences . . .3 hrs. each way. My point is that after they married I was the one making the trips; in 5 years, Detroit 5-6 times; to Columbus 5 times. They came to see me in Indianapolis one time, when I told them that their Grandfather was probably visiting me for the last time for he was in failing health. Then when my son was in my neck of the woods last year ( in Florida ) he never took the time to come by my place, instead I met him an hour away from my home at someone's house ( for a few hrs. He could have visited me, his time is his own. We could have talked and fished on the beach) If I telephone them and leave a message I will not get a return call until I have phoned 2-3 times . . . if then.
My point is this: I feel I have been ignored ( shunned ) to a degree for the last 20 years, ever since they became 15-17 years old and very impressionable. I like to believe they truly love me, however, their lack of action speaks so much louder than words. Am I wrong ?

Spillane was a good example of a deeply religious person ( isn't that how JW's are viewed by the general public ? ) who was in fact nothing more than a deeply ingrained hypocrite. He made use of the " us vs. them " mentality of the Witnesses to score his riches . . . just like the "Society" does to this day.
Just another JW fraud bleeding " worldy " people.
