I wish my wife was willing to look into the religion a little closer.I've told a lot and showed her many things from the WT that don't make sense but she's still clinging to a religion that doesn't make her happy.As far as having love among themselves,that is a real joke.The sister who is studying with your wife is a real hypocrite.She's getting hours,return visits and a bible study off your wife's back and she's trying to force to attend meetings to keep her study,basically black-mailing her.Since when do jw's tell people they'll stop the study if they don't attend meetings?Most of them are ready to study for 10 years with you as long as they can count their time.

As far as the elder stopping in,I'll bet it was in the morning service.Trying to look genuine but really looking for some easy time to fill in his morning,he was out anyways so why not stop in and make it look like he cares.

My wife asked me for a list of questions that I had so I wrote up 30 of them about 2 months ago.She's called a few elders from distant congregations who didn't give her any answers to them and one finally told that if I didn't have the truth in my heart it didn't matter what they gave as answers.Sounds like an easy cop-out to me.

I would recommend that you purchase the books Crisis of Conscience and In Search of Christian Freedom and read them both,if you haven't already done so.After reading those 2 books you will be convinced that the WTS is not the truth.

how it began: i was recruited during the time i was escaping from a violent husband to a shelter.

a witness came to my door as i was preparing to move during the day without him knowing (while he was at work).

You did good Richie,at least you got her thinking.I'll bet you 2 years from now she won't be pionneering and bitter that she's got no skills to advance herself.If you get another opportunity to talk to her just keep asking her those questions that will make her think.Even after you're done talking she'll still be rolling this stuff in her head and digesting it,give it some time and have fun.

My wife is trying to figure out chronology from Daniel book RIGHT NOW!

i work from home mostly, and my wife is right now in the other room with a piece of paper with a line across it for a timeline with "0" in the middle.

she says she is determined to have a clear idea of the chronology this time around through the daniel book at the congregation book study.. this is great!

it dovetails in perfectly with the fact that she just brought me home some books i got from the library on ancient jerusalem history.

On a whim, stopped by the library for books on Jerusalems destruction

so i was driving by the library on my way home today and remembered i do have a library card and decided to go in and do my own research on 607 bce.

i figured i might find a book or two in our little old library.

i did a search on the library's computers for "jerusalem history" and got a handful of books ... i wrote down the dewey decimal number (or whatever it is) of one of them (they are all in the same general section) and headed to the reference wing of the library.

Wait on Jehovah!!!! What a joke,they say that here too.

I once asked a CO about this 607/587 issue.We e-mailed each other for a while about it.I told my wife eventually when he definitely couldn't prove 607 he would tell me to just wait on Jehovah;and that's what he did! After thinking about this for a few years,it then occured to me:If I have to wait on Jehovah,then why didn't C.T. Russell wait on Jehovah before deciding that this unscriptural teaching would become the cornerstone of the watchtower.

Somebody didn.'t have to wait on Jehovah 130 years ago,but noe I have to because he taught a lie as truth??? You gotta be kidding?
