i was watching the news a coupel of hours ago and the snow was just a few flakes downtown but it was clear here.. i just looked up and the snow is coming down ---- sideways and it ain't just a few flakes anymore.
it is melting as it hits the ground but it's still snow in the air
We've got about 6 inches here in Shania Twain country.It's supposed to warm up over the week-end,hopefully most of it will melt before the real winter sets in.
Up here they call snow white gold because it draws a lot of snowmobile tourists who come up and spend a lot of money on the sport.

I enjoy reading,fishing,hockey,gardening,following the canadian stock market.
My favorite TV shows are Survivor and Hockey Night in Canada but I also like programs such as Dateline,20/20 and Primetime Live.
I have a good job and all my free time is spent at home with my little family,which is where I like to be.
I still enjoy reading and researching the bible but from a different perspective now.

i was walking through wal-mart this eve, minding my own, purchasing things for the club.. suddenly, from the clothing racks a man jumps in front of me!

there was nowhere to run.
I would just do my best to avoid this old coot.
I also had a similar experience in a grocery store,with an older sister.Couldn't get away fast enough.

You forgot effexor on your list of favorite jw drugs of choice;it seems quite popular in our area.But yet the jw mentality states that if you're suffering emotionally because of shunning or guilt or feelings of inadequacy it's either Satan bringing it upon you or it's you yourself who is just weak and not doing enough.

First,remind her that you don't hate jehovah's witnesses,the vast majority of them are good people;your issue is with some of their teachings that lack biblical backing.Where does the bible say that God has an organization on earth today,that the FDS was established in 33 CE and again in 1919,that the heavenly calling ended in 1935,that Jesus returned invisibly in 1874,and again invisibly in 1914,that christ is mediator only for the 144000 (less than 8800 people on earth today),that Jerusalem was destroyed in 607 BCE,that christian men cannot grow beards,that you have to fill out a service report every month,that you have to go to 5 meetings every week or run the chance of dying at Armaggeddon?
Those are all part of the jw belief system,which they say are based on the bible.Therefore these questions should be easily answered using only the bible.maybe you can use some of that to make her reason and question the religion.A religion that teaches lies cannot be true.WT 91 12/1 p.7
I hope this helps,but keep in mind many are still in denial and living the jw honeymoon when they're at the point where this person is.You have a battle ahead of you but give it all you got.
