I ate our Christmas present from my uncle..well I am still eatting it. It's a box full of home made fudge. It's actually heavy! There's alot of it in there! Although it tastes GREAT, I can't imagine how many sit-ups I'm gonna have to do to take the fudge back off me.

I'm afraid there are only 2 ways of being a true believin' Christian
by Zep inthe first way is to be completely ignorant.to ignore the fact that the bible is a hopelessly flawed man made document, and all other reasoned argument and evidence that points to the non existence of the christian god.
this strategy basically involves living inside mental cocoon and closing your eyes to any alternative views.
the best way to employ this tactic is to perform a whole lot repetitive and ritualistic action; a whole lot of head bowing and praying etc... etc....you know the drill!.

ColdRedRain, I used to kickbox. It is a good stress release..and gave me a six pack at one time! (its gone now)

I go to the pet store and play with the animals. For some reason I get off on the idea that I've brought joy to a kindred life form;
I like to go to the pet stores, too, and hold puppies and ferrets. I wish it was daytime I would go. I totally need something to cheer me up.

Methadone
by TresHappy ini have a question, call it a brain fart or what...but i have learned that a former jw friend of mine died recently and the cause of death was acute methadone intoxication...what is methadone exactly used for?

my update...seems like a lot going on...brother...sister...oh my!
by jwbot inso my sister sent me an email, saying something along the lines of "no matter what stupid things i do...know that i love you".
and at first i am thinking, she is suicidal, but i am now thinking that she is going to leave her husband.
i think its getting close to that time.

Stress...good and bad. Only you guys understand how weird our families can get...sometimes I think I am the only one with a dysfunctional family. It is good to have this board.
My family is dysfunctional and none of them are even JW's
It's good that your sister has you to be there for her. I had a similar phone call from a JW friend a few days ago. She was very emotional and "Just wanted to let me know not to ever think she doesn't love me."

by jwbot ini got an email from a girl i know who is either teaching or helping teach kindergarten.
she had questions about a 5 year old boy who is going to homeschool next year, and is a jw.
she remembered that i am an ex-jw so emailed me to ask for any information that would help her get in the mind of this boy (who seemed to want to celebrate xmas).
