"New light"...

this won't be a long-winded post; just a "quickie", and mostly meant for those still active:.

i find it odd that jehovah's witnesses don't find anything odd about how 'new light' is distributed.

i mean - if this new light comes from jehovah god himself, the creator of the universe and everything in it, wouldn't it be fair to say that it would happen more like in this story:.

this km was discussed however,i wanted to make a comment.the wtbs does not want the r&f to question their reseach and accept want they(gb) say.let's look at one of their publication they mentioned in the sept07km.the revelation (1982) book.the nov06km had over 70 correction.than they printed a soft cover edition with a whole lot more corrections.so we have to accept their bs when a child knows a lot more about the bible than the gb/fds/wt.and they don't want us to question their publications when there are sooooooooooooooo many mistakes.look at other books,the wishy-washy king of the north etc etc .they must be really brain dead.my guess is most die heart jw who read one of the wtbs books and immediately forget what they read.. bob.

The whole of the WTS belief system is based in endless genealogies and numerologies.

And what the WTS teaches does not lead to salvation, it leads instead, to nothing.

in which i said.... this is strange, i read that in 1995 they did away with the "generation" teaching, yet the official watchtower website still says this, over 12 years later !.

thus, all the features of the last days must take place within the lifetime of one generation, the generation of 1914. so some people who were alive in 1914 will still be alive when this system comes to its end.

I found that web page months ago. I found it strange that the official web site would still be saying that the end will come before the generation......... So I saved the whole web page.

I can email it to anyone who wants it.

Here is some of it,

Gluttony and Drunkenness

i knew several that got df'd for drunkenness but never anyone for gluttony.

as far as i can remember, in the bible there weren't categories or various levels of sin; and both these are mentioned as sinful.

last i looked, there were an awful lot of very obese witnesses in the congs.

There is a distinction there.

Gluttonous people do not struggle with their weight.

i have been on here for only the past 3 days or so....so i don't really know how it goes.. this is an 'apostate' site right?.

so today i've learned that there is just the ol' regular apostate and an 'active' apostate.. but are there actually active witnesses on this site as well??.

because i just saw a topic about someone asking for advice on how to do a talk?.

Yes, there are all kinds here on this discussion board.

I've never been a witness but I have family that are.

When you're out it's easy to see all the dumb, un-scriptural things the WTS shoves down the throats of the rank and file.

Hell, they can't even keep their own story straight, but no one seems to notice.

From military service to blood to when heaven was closed to when the END will come to when Christ made His second appearance to..........................................

The list goes on and on and on and on.

I would like to say one thing. Just because the WTS has it all screwed up does not mean that the God of the Bible is not real. Just because the WTS has it all screwed up does not mean that God has not revealed Himself to man through His word, He has. But you don't need anyone to teach you how to read His word. Just a normal person, with an open heart, will understand all that is needed for salvation just by reading the Bible.

There is a WTS quote that I laugh about every time I read it.

It goes something like this. "If a person stops reading the WTS literature and just reads the Bible he will fall back into the old beliefs of Christendom."

You would think that that should tell them something? But NO.

Anyway, I'm glad you're out.

What is the NEW BUZZ in the Org?

there is a new wt arrangement, the 1935 change, the 30 minute public talk among other things.

some have even said they would stop talking doom and gloom, can someone please confirm this?.

what is the perception of these things among those active in the org?

May I direct your attention to pages 220 & 221?

no doubt many of you have read this jw book on the wt version of the history and origins of the society.. my issue is on pages 220 and 221 where they "briefly" show some images of things and practices, that the org has abandoned.

some of these were practiced for many years, and even were at the very creation of the organization.. according to jw/wts teachings and beliefs, this organization has "pagan" origins based on the given evidence.

I think the point has been missed. The WTS, back then, claimed to be "God's only channel....." whatever. They were not then and they are not now. If yesterdays "truth" is now a lie, what about todays "truth" come tomorrow?

I have never seen so many people with their heads in the sand.......

Sorry, the more I look into this cult the more I see people who want to be blind.

In the end it doesn't matter. I am now a Calvinist and those who God chooses, God chooses.

And those whom He didn't, He didn't.

30 Minute Public Talk-CONFIRMED

i can confirm (as there seems to be some doubt) at the service meeting last night during the item about the new watchtower, a letter was read by the po.

the public talk is to be 30 minutes long.

this is to allow for more association and ministry.. lengthy negative introductions about the state of the system of things/deep last days etc are to be heavily curtailed.

That's interesting. That verse says that the holy city, Jerusalem, will come down to earth. That means the 144000 will be on earth, the same place as the rest of us.

Verse 22-26 says that God (Jehovah) and the Lamb (Christ) will be on earth too.

Rev 22:3-5 says that the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city that is on earth. And that God and the Lamb will reign for ever and ever, from their thrones on EARTH.

This is NOT what the WTS teaches. How does the WTS answer this?

I don't really want to know. I'm sure is just a bunch of BS.

has anyone heard how much per case the wts had to pay?
