JW Necklaces
by fjtoth inlondon, england.
jehovah's necklaces17/02/2008nurses are calling for jehovah's witnesses to wear special bracelets and necklaces so they won't be given "sinful" blood transfusions by mistake.. most of britain's 125,000 witnesses carry pocketsized cards declaring their religious beliefs.
but nurses say that in an emergency there may be no time to check a patient's pockets.. the royal college of nursing have urged the watchtower society, which represents the witnesses, to ask members to wear the bracelets or necklaces.. .

So Hanzel and Gretel sold their house, and are now living in South America where they apparently will live happily ever after. Until it’s time for them to retire or she gets knocked up. Then they’ll be SOL with absolutely no financial help whatsoever from the assholes who talked them into this lifestyle in the first place.
Love it, to true.
3) This article will consider how you can overcome obstacles to your lifesaving ministry and how you may be able to help a greater number of people. The article that follows will examine how you can cult-ivate the art of teaching vital truths.
It takes a lot of effort, skill and time to get people to believe something isn't crap even though it looks and smells like crap.

My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife:?
Marrying you screwed up my life.
I see your face when I am dreaming.
That's why I always wake up screaming.
Kind, intelligent, loving and hot;
This describes everything you're not.
Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss,
But I only slept with you cause I was pissed.
I thought that I could love no other,
That is until I met your brother.
Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and so are you.
But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl is empty
and
so is your head.
I want to feel your sweet embrace;
But don't take that paper bag off your face.
I love your smile, your face and your eyes
Damn, I'm good at telling lies!
My love, you take my breath away.
What have you stepped in to smell this way?
My feelings for you no words can tell,
Except for maybe Go to hell.
What inspired this amorous rhyme?
Two parts vodka, one part lime. -

Jehovah God originally intended the earth to be inhabited by people who live forever and take care of the earth and creation on it, right? His purpose hasn't changed. and still intends the earth to be inhabited in this way. We as human creations of his will not forever grow old and die. There will come a time when he will restore paradise to its original condition. If this doesn't happen, then that would mean that he IS NOT the most powerful being in the universe. He will not let ANY enemy thwart his original purpose. Since what he says ALWAYS comes true, we can have full confidence in this promise.
First paragraph of his profile . I hate this argument.
Jehovah's promised the Jews all kinds of things to time indefinite, but then it seems plans got changed.

The Door to Door Argument and various musings
by Mrs. Witness inhey everybody!
i had it out with hubby this weekend.
i think what set it off was a "to-do" list that he made first thing in the morning that listed all the chores i needed to do under his name and the chore under my name was to go to the kh with him to hear the co give a talk about "why the bible is accurate".

My favorite thing to say,
People that have not been preached to and die in this old system will be ressurected, right. yes, yes
People that have not been preached to will survive armageddon, right. yes, yes
People that have been preached to and refuse JW and die in the old system will not be ressurected, right. yes, yes
People that have been preached to and refuse JW will die at armageddon, right. yes, yes
Do everyone a favor and shutup about the JW's, right? no, no blah blah blah blah

We don't celebrate holidays because ........
by RubaDub ini just can't stomach the time wasted in meetings and in the literature about the jw stand on holidays.. we try to explain why we don't celebrate christmas, mothers day, halloween, thanksgiving day, etc, etc, etc.. yet in reality, other than the memorial and anniversaries, we don't celebrate anything, regardless of the origins of the holiday.
if a new holiday was created encouraging people to be nice to each other, we still wouldn't celebrate it ... it would be worldly!!!.
all the time and energy put into determining the origins of certains days is just a waste of time.

The kingdom halls where are they headed?
by moomanchu inwhat is happening to the kingdom halls?
where you live, are they declining or prospering?
you may hear claims of revival, and reports of swelling congregations occasionally come from such places as africa, eastern europe, and the united states.

That's one mystery solved.
There are countless familys from new york and new jersey that have relocated here.
to find out that up north in NY state that the Watertown/Carthage/Adams
congregations all closed and condensed themselves into one hall...Thanks for the comments.
I played a little trick with this thread. The info is off the JW web site http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/152630/reply.ashx
THE CHURCHES
WHERE ARE THEY HEADING?WHAT is happening to the “Christian” churches? Where you live, are they declining or prospering? You may hear claims of revival, and reports of swelling congregations occasionally come from such places as Africa, Eastern Europe, and the United States. Yet, news reports from other parts of the world, especially Western Europe, tell of church closings, dwindling congregations, and widespread apathy toward religion.
In the face of declining attendance, many churches have changed their style. Some proclaim themselves “nonjudgmental,” giving the idea that God accepts any type of conduct. Increasingly, churches offer entertainment, excitement, and secular attractions rather than instruction from God’s Word. While some churchgoers see the changes as needed adaptations to the realities of the modern world, many sincere people wonder whether the churches are straying from the mission that Jesus gave. Let us take a look at the trends churches have followed in recent decades.
I just thought it was funny how what they are saying about other churches applies equally to themselves.
