  now wishful thinking is different from the facts, but in our age of technology, which is pretty new!.

  how long do you think the wts got before the "truth" is out ?

  I go to Court tomorrow for Sole Custody..... I'm excited but scared too!!!!

  i am writing this partly to get straight in my mind how i want to present my material tomorrow, since i am representing myself.

  but i would also love any advice that you may have to help me (other than get a lawyer.... lol... not an option unfortunately).. my ex-wife and i got separated on april 24, 2003. i spent over $12,500.00 on lawyers just to get to see my kids.

  she tried everything in the book to try to prevent me from seeing them, including lying to the police and having me thrown in jail for a night, calling children's aid on me 9 times, (all not substantiated), and most recently by trying to hire someone to beat me up.. we ended up having a settlement conference on june 22, 2004, from which twenty-nine different orders were made, including joint custody with primary residence with her, that my children were ordered to not go to the kingdom hall anymore, access times, support, not moving away, etc.

  'malicious mother syndrome' is on the Google search, with 18000 odd pages of all the awful things mothers do who have been offended etc etc.....worth a check and maybe reference exactly what has happened. At least something in black and white which you could refer to. Is it worth a talk with the ones who know you both from the congrtegation for a bit of independent oversight? Or do you feel it wouldn't be 'independent'? Nothing like having someone with authority to help anyone be sure to tell the truth (as seen to each one), even elders, who are not all like the ones talked about by some here.

  Some other kind advice is given here, and nice to see. In my opinion, not all though. Cheers, gdt, hoping for ustice and truth and fairness to prevail.

  There is NO annual service report in the Janaury 1st WT

  well, i have confirmed rumors that have gone around about there being no annual service report for the january 1st, 2005 issue.. .

  it seems, for reasons unknown, that the watchtower has ended another decades long tradition.

  in the second study article for the january 1st, 2005 watchtower, entitled, "trained to give a thorough witness," paragraph 24 reads: .

  what a bunch of cynics we have here! the annual report was announced at our circuit assembly last w/end, very encouraging, ==about 500,000 more publishers and good growth in studies etc....from what some of you say you'd prefer to see everything collapse, but who would be ready to 'go, make disciples in all nations'? you? not me alone with a few 'mates' that's for sure. cheers, gdt

  Hi there 'mystery'...noted your thoughts, and I must say Australians (or for that matter any nationality)are no more open-minded and caring, or narrow and extreme, than any others. There are those here who are very hard, taking 'suggestions' from the Society, as rules of God himself. So don't feel Aussies are a bunch of 'goodies'.....ask Aussiepost!!

  However, 'one man eats meat, another eats vegetables'. I have concluded that any black and white unquestioned law of God should be followed as best as a human can, and interpretation is just that....the scriptures themselves do not have a clause saying 'but with immediate families this has a different meaning'. So I feel that if an instruction has qualifications and needs to be applied, then it is possible that application may well be wrong. (hence the Society has never said to ignore human kindness to one's immediate family...it can't ever do that....as an example the Bible simply says of some former believers that we should 'not eat with such a man'.........but the Society has applied that to mean 'does not refer to one's immediate family', hence df'd wives or husbands must still be treated by the believer in all the ways required by Christ Jesus, including 'eating with'....so there are many instructions from God but we need discernment to apply them.

  I would suggest that you ask the family members in the truth who are shunning you (??) to show you exactly where the Society has specifically said to shun their flesh and blood, or in fact humans in general. This is a totally different matter than subjecting onesself to purposeful and hurtful anti-god, anti-christ ideas which some have, so I would not accept the need to have a former relative who was in the truth allowed to push his ideas on me, but I would do everything possible to show human kindness which does not include shunning.

  Or better still, 'mediator', check yourself on the CD rom etc the latest information on how to treat dfd or dassoc. relatives spiritually and as fellow humans....there is a major difference between 'shunning (never want to see you or help you), and 'shunning (don't want to share your wicked thinking).

  Have I made any sense? As I said to Gary on your post (sorry if that is really wrong) none of us bring the sun up, and we have to 'love our enemies', not just our friends or relatives.

  Cheers, and we Aussies are not any better or worse than you guys, believe me. We have travelled a lot in the past and enjoyed all nationalities in or out of the truth. Stop worrying!! ok? just be nice.

  Hello there Gary, I am worrying about your 'mind' and also about me jumping subjects on this thread, but I just couldn't help but assure 'mystery' to stop worrying, nobody brings the sun up....true?   Hi Gary, no after, and I've not heard of any df'd ones make it back on circuit work, as elders and ms's, but I understand that the circuit overseer represents the society....represents God?.. and I personally would have no problem with such a situation, especially an example of humility, forgiveness by the rank and file etc etc, I could think of many good reasons as no doubt you could, but on the other hand they would take the view that if (like me) a brother was on the circuit work after 10 years of pioneering etc, and failed to uphold the right principles, he could perhaps do it again..???? After talking about Hosea chapt 11 and Jonah chapt.4, to know how God feels about people .......a heavy call (in my opinion) not to use anyone like me after 18 years of being 'half alright!!' ,anyway, just my thoughts. are you OK? hope so, cheers, geoff.
