  I thought that was an excelent article and im going to send it to my daughter who has just been on a tour. She was very dissapointed with it and said it sounded as if he was making stuff up as he went along.

  GETTING EVEN WITH JUNK MAILERS.....

  we all get junk mail, or applications for credit cards we don't want or even asked for.

  i got six applications in the mail today.

  i've phoned these numbskulls before and told them to stop sending me this stuff, as i don't want their credit cards.

  Arguments against Disfellowshipping

  i would like a simple step by step explanation that refutes the disfellowshipping policy as practiced by jehovah's witnesses.. obviously, i don't agree with the policy but i have had trouble making my explanations clear and straightforward.. any help would be appreciated..

  Although I disagree with the concept of Dfing ppl who have made a "mistake" and definately shunning but what should be done with a person who preys on young sisters and repetedly commits fornication ( I know this sounds like WT speak) but I know a case were it happened or who is a convicted peodofile and still wants to be in the congregations....................yes I know they still are but you all know what I mean

  What can be done to ensure the congregation into having a standard where not everything is exceptable.............??

  I know the answer myself................thats its a cult and so no one uses there Christian consciences to keep themselves from sinning but I found it really diffficult to reason with my sister on this point when her answers are "its to keep the congregation clean " and they only DF ppl who want to be" "they endanger others"

  apologies if someone has covered this already, but i'm a third of the way through this marvellous book which i'm enjoying more than richard dawkin's the god delusion.

  the full title of hitchens' book is god is not great - the case against religion.

  it pulls no punches and is extremely well written.

  I asked my niece tonight about these "secret" watchtowers she said the only thing they were changing was to take the questions out of the placement magazines

  If it was just that they were taking the questions out of the public WT.........................then why dont they just print separate questions for the pubs and have the same WT for everyone........................but we know the answer to that one right

  In my experience , women are more easier to engage in a conversation about spiritual things , a lot ( not all ) men dont like talking about how they "feel" about such subjects.

  Then of course when confronted with the thought that if they dont take action their kids could be annililate does seem to play a big factor in them starting a bible study

  And also more women are out in field service and more women are at home, so you can get friendly easier

  Just my thoughts

  I scored 41.................but if I had done the test 3 years ago when I found JWD, it would have been more like 100

  Saying that im sitting still in my PJs and its 10.am I havent done a thing round the house except switch on the dish washer and as its Friday ive got loads to do !!

  WHAT would YOU do? Teen issues.....

  my oldest daughter is a handful.

  she has a mouth that just doesn't seem to stop and today we got into it .....again.. well, after a bunch of crap coming out of her mouth, i smacked her on the arm and told her to quit the talking to me that way.. then, it got worse when she kicked me.

  geez, how would you have dealt with this kind of thing.. i told her i'm going to send her to a camp this summer where they put her on a giant kite (parasailing) and make her fly off a cliff.

  This is so hard............but it will pass !!

  Dont get into verbal fights walk away ignore her, if you dont they will only escalate and NEVER hit her. If you do she will retaliate, her bravado will make her even if she doesnt want ot.

  I used to just stop being nice, I would stop talking (if she notices) My hubby stopped speaking to my son for a week he was so upset with him, when I asked my son to make it up he just stared at me , he hadnt even noticed !!!

  If you go quiet she may feel quilty..............................even so it will bring the level of anger in the house down. Im so sorry for you but it just normal for some teenagers to do this. You are very lucky if it doesnt happen to you.
