well, now I know why I looked at this site this evening...it was to see all the wonderful tributes to Grace (Mouthy). I even watched most of her service! I am not Christian myself but I respect Christians who ‘walk the walk’ and really know the meaning of love. I think Grace was one of those Christians. RIP Grace a.k.a. Mouthy -

Biggest impact on humans
by menrov indo not know where to post this but i like to hear your views on what you think had the biggest impact on humans.
for me, 2 things:.
music: every human listens one way or another to music and will likely have some sort of emotion.

Thig crìoch air an t-saoghal, ach mairidh ceòl ‘s gaol
Translation: The world may come to an end, but love and music will last for ever.
I live in the US and right now, the world coming to an end seems an ever increasing possibility 😳 I’ve just always loved this little Gaelic saying and so my answer is, love and music are the answer to the question.

Just a survey
by Homer notsimpson injust to get others opinions and experiences.
out of everyone in the jw organization, how many do you think never get caught doing a "gross sin "?
and how many do you think actually get caught?

The other question might be: how many self report? I know (I was one) that many are so indoctrinated that when they do something along the lines of 'serious sin' they turn themselves in.

I didn't know until a few hours ago that the memorial was happening in a few more hours. And, it's a full moon tonight 😳 But wait!...I got to set my crystals out on the windowsill! 🌝 What were we talking about??...oh yeah...the JW memorial thing. Tomorrow is just another day and hopefully tomorrow night I will have an evening with my kids & grandbaby and then settle in with a glass of wine, my knitting and TV. 🙃 I celebrate every minute of every day I have of life. So good to be free of all that JW drivel.

Born in and left after 41 years but I will admit my early years, though laced with non conformity with 'the world' was much more lenient than some. I almost left mentally after a film in my 8th grade science class on evolution and for the next 3 years didn't follow the JW lifestyle at all but because I drifted into a not ideal group of friends, the effect was to drive me right back into my 'comfort zone'. Let's say...38 years.

I have splurged in my budget to have Siriusxm radio because I spend a lot of time behind the windshield. There are progressive stations and right wing radio and Potus, which carries Steele & Unger and Julie Mason. Progressive radio has Thom Hartman ( a former Oregonian so I admit to some bias there 😉). Between these and NPR and BBC I feel like I'm getting a pretty good mix of news. The sorting out at the end of the day can be a bit frustrating at times. I tend to trust Washington Post for actual journalistic integrity and also Reuters. Aside from that there is much crappola out there!

A woman's Heartfelt message to the Governing Body
by UnshackleTheChains ini just watched this lovely lady's heartfelt message to the governing body.
i hope that the men she named and all lurkers who have some clout at bethel listen to this message and stop this cruel and divisive shunning policy that has ruined so many family's around the world.
this is just one voice of many many people who feel this way about your (governing body) destructive policy.

It also applies to the mother who gave birth to the precious child, nursed her and took care of her through the years and is now being shunned by her. The governing body have a very heavy millstone around their necks...they will go down, eventually.

How did you feel when you got baptized?
by Schnufti inback in 2005, i remember sitting in the stadium in the special rows with 42 others.
8000 people were looking at us - maybe even with a binocular - while listening to the speech.
my family and my friends among them, being all proud of me.. i don't remember being enthusiastic.

It was November of 1973 for me and the changing TENTS were outside. OK, granted...it was Phoenix, Arizona but for a lifelong desert rat I felt COLD! I also was told by my study person that I'd feel the Holy Spirit thing...I didn't. My father was df'd at the time and stood in the back of the hall (it was at a kh that had a baptismal pool under the stage) so it was also bittersweet. I remember going home afterwards and looking at the yard, my home, the sky and for the next year kind of dreading the arrival of 1975 because I still didn't feel good enough to survive. Oh, and I was 16....just a kid still.

Most Widely Circulated Magazine In The World
by Calebs Airplane inwhich magazine is now the most widely circulated in the world?.
before responding, keep in mind that certain parameters (such as content and page count) ought to be met before any printed material intended for mass distribution can be categorized as a “magazine”.
for example, the absolute minimum range for any publication to be considered a magazine is typically around 32 to 48 pages while the highest page counts are usually around 128 to 160, with some popular women’s fashion magazines coming in quite a bit higher than that.. so with that said, which is now the world’s most widely circulated magazine?.

They make great fire starters for the wood stove in winter 😉 Geese, talk about fake news! I'm thinking Watchtower gave the fake news venues a few pointers on how to bedazzle the gullible.
