is it just me or does it seem like there arent any really great sitcoms on t.v?.
"friends" hasnt been funny in at least two years.. "frasier" was only funny the first couple of seasons.
"malcom in the middle" and "the bernie mac show" i can tolerate and actually find pretty funny now and again.

hi dear friends.. as maybe you know, i'm an elder at one of the congregations in santiago of chile, and all the body of elders received a letter from the branch office saying that if the congregation has some money in a current account or so they would send it to the branch.
in june 2003, a letter about the contributions (donations) said that the money coming from all the congregations every month were so little (few), and they were worried about what are the publishers doing with their money.
this means that the chilean branch of the wt has some economical problems.
And yet they claim to be superior to the churches of "christendom" since they don't pass a collection plate or basket. Another reason why I WISH my stepkids would open their eyes...
Such hypocricy....

are you an elder in the congregation?
timothy 5:17, ephesians 5:23; hebrews 6:10-12).
yes, an elder needs to ?accomplish his ministry fully.?
Blondie,
Thanks...It helps to know what kind of drivel the publishing company is going to instill in my stepkids' heads.
Personally, I don't know how the manipulative language can be used...but that's just me!

it seems that light skinned ex-ws speak out more against watchtower than people of a darker skin color.
what is your ethnic origin?
I'm half German (dad 100% German), half Cuban (mom 100% Cuban)...needless to say growing up in my house was REAL interesting

i work with at-risk teens in a continuation school.
last night i learned that one of my dear students, a bight young man with a difficult past, born into a difficult world of gangs and drugs, was found dead, shot to death in east palo alto, california.
My condolences to you and to that boy's family.

this past monday, april 19, we had dexter put to sleep.
he was almost 13 years old and we got him when he was 11 weeks old, a tiny bouncy puppy with ears that he tripped over for months.
he was ever cheerful, a part of the family, loved the children and let them pull on his tail and ears and pull up on his back with no grumbles, and a very dear friend.
My heart goes out to you and your family. I remember when I had to choose the same thing for my faithful "baby" Brandy. To this day I miss her happy goofy doggie face...(tearing up thinking of her now)...
Again, I feel for you.
