Seriously though, the poor guy has parkinson's and can barely even talk. It's a shame he can't live out his last days on earth relaxing, instead of working.

my mother told me that after i get married, she's going to give me the "family happiness" book.
i've never read the thing, but i know it's a wts publication that often gets given or mailed out to newlyweds who aren't in the troof.
what's your opinion of this "fine christian publication"?

Men are the lawmakers and heartbreakers in that thing, and women are just babymaking dishwashers.....but hey, they're still a 'large army'. (meaning, that they aren't good enough to give a talk, but they are allowed to repeat in door-to-door what their smart, spiritual husbands say..LOL)

how do you define someone as anti-american?
if you strongly disapprove of, say, america's foreign policies, yet basically have an affection for american people, does this still make you an anti-american?
is it possible that people are being accused of being anti-american inaccurately?
People very conveniently throw the term anit-american around when it suits their argument, a really great stand by if you don't have any facts to back up an argument.
Be critical of Bush, even if you have your facts strait, you're anti-american.
Have a problem with foreign policy, you're anti-american.
Don't like the Iraqi war and the very weak reasons behind it? You're anti-american and a soldier-hater.

A troublemaker, mostly. I was also didn't have a good attitude. Had a problem with authority, too. I questioned everything I was told.

the jws have some peculiar rules regarding doing things with the opposite sex.
truly, the most bizzare one has to be the one about if a "brother" is driving along and he sees a "sister" waiting for a bus and he offers her a ride, in most cases he will make her sit in the backseat.
even more likely, the "sister" will turn down the ride because it may "stumble" someone who may see them together.
The next day, I get a call from an ELDER who questioned me why I was in a bedroom with a girl ALONE! Then he counseled me. What a crock!
LOL. Now, I do remember that happening in my Cong. All of my bros were counseled at one time or another because of being 'alone' with a sister. And trust me, these girls were BEEFCAKE, and mindless JW drones.
Still, the brothers never had a problem with me being around girls alone, because I was considered bookish and generally undesirable. One sister explained it to me once, "I've never seen you undress a woman with your eyes." (I'm a real eye-contact sort of person)
I was flabbergasted that people were watching me to make sure that I wasn't looking at pretty girls. LOL. How paranoid.
