Moscow ban on JW's causes confusion
by DevonMcBride inhttp://www.profindpages.com/news/2004/04/05/mn073.htm
moscow ban on jehovah's witnesses highlights confusion
since running our original article on the activities ban placed on jehovah's witnesses in moscow, we have received a number of letters that clearly show confusion within the group itself.

Does this mean Jehovah is closing the door for Moscow?
I remember when Jehovah opened the door. I'm confused
Just kidding!

Ever kick the elders off your porch?
by MicStroz inas some of you may know, my wife just left the org a few months ago.
trying to reach her.
it was her ex-po and ex-book study conductor.

I just did! As some of you may know, my wife just left the org a few months ago. I think they are
trying to reach her. It was her ex-PO and ex-book study conductor. I wouldn't let them in the door
and I didn't want to sit and chat. 27 years of living as a Jw, I know how to play the game......
Just going to keep them in the dark.

Would you ever go back to an organized religion after leaving the Witnesses
by MicStroz ini was wondering just what the percentage would be on those who .
have left and at some point turn to another group or church.. i know from my own trials that i will never be a part of any.
organization.

I know from my own trials that I will NEVER be a part of any
organization. But that's just how I feel. I grow up as a JW and
feel I was worked over pretty good by them. Could never trust any
group that much again. I have my own beliefs and feel even more
spiritual than when I was a Witness.

by Nan inour daughter-in-law (who is a witness) has invited us (via email) to the memorial on april 4. she says it's not just for jws.
is this true??
i thought this gathering was exclusively for witnesses; and to partake....er....not partake of the bread and wine?

A thought experiment
by logansrun inhave you ever stopped to consider that the best thing we can do for ourselves as recovering cultists is simply to move on?
i know that is impossible for some, as they have deep connections with the organization due to family.
but for many the best move is simply to refuse to let the jws occupy much of our time and energy -- mental, physical and emotional.

I have moved way up the street past all of this......... 12 years and counting.........
But I must say this forum has been of great help to my wife, who has just left the org. a few months ago.
I can see much help here for those who have just left or are considering a departure from the JW's.
Good Job Gang,
Keepup the Good Work!

Shouldn't the "Truth" be easy to find?
by JH in.
with so many religions, and only one bible, why is the truth so hard to find?.

Didn't someone once say.......
One man's truth is another man's trash.
Oh wait that was ........treasure.
Hm.........could be the same thing

The "Truth" of the JW's is their paradigm.....it is a model of reality.
Note the word, model, it is not reality.
