Anyone have ever seen a ghost (spirit)?
by Nicolas inwhen i was going at the kingdom hall with my father (i was very young), it happened from time to time that the subject of spirits entered in the conversation.
then at this point, it seemed that everyone had their own little story to tell about the spirits of the devils.. .
personnally, i'm always skeptic about these things and i won't believe it until i see it.

I've seen and spoken with orbs (little floating balls of light). I have never seen a "ghost" as such though.

Anxiety, stress, depression - What do you take?
by MsMcDucket ini've been feeling like a slug.
the antidepressant that i was taking wasn't working.
the doctor couldn't give me another steroid injection for my migraines because it caused my blood sugars to go sky high and made me suffer from steroid induced mania; and then after it started leaving my system, i had this really down feeling.

Not to sound like a hippy or anything, but...
I have found that switching to organic food has done a lot for me. I used to suffer from manic depression and was very lethargic. Since I switched to organic food (about 6 months ago), I have felt much better in myself. Just a thought :)

Belief Poll : Please Indulge Me
by Morocco injust sort of curious about this, i know it has probably been done a gazillion times but let me do it again.
1.do you believe in a personal god who takes interest in you as an individual?
2.do you believe that the bible was written by god?
-
FMZ
All answers, no.
I think the idea that God is a personal being (i.e. has a personality and takes "interest" in us) really puts limits on whatever great and beautiful force put this universe in motion. I do believe, however, in "beings" that are of much higher vibrations and energies than ourselves. I wouldn't quite call them deities.
As far as the Bible goes... I don't believe it was "written by God" or even inspired by him. But, I do think that the NT was written about a highly enlightened individual that came to Earth to give us some well needed advice, just the same as I regard the Dalai Lama, Buddha, or Ghandi.
Just MHO, of course ;)

Cabin, I studied Spiritualism for a fair while not too long ago, and this was a popular topic in that belief system.
I personally believe in them, as I have had a few mediums describe them in detail, and they always seem to agree with each other. There are often times that I get nudges from my guides, warnings and encouragement. I ask my guides for protection when I go on a long road trip, ask for guidance when I need a new viewpoint.
I see it as a very loving arrangement which gives us some help "from above" when we really need it. It's a beautiful thing, especially knowing that one of my guides (my grandfather) keeps an eye on me. :)

Glad everyone enjoyed the poem as much as I. He was a beautiful kid, and I encourage everyone to read up further on him. If he had lived a full life, who knows what kind of impact he could have made on the world.
Or then, maybe things were exactly as they are supposed to be. Either way, this young boy should be a role model for us all.

I've actually been losing some hair recently... it's rather disconcerting. I can only hope that it is stress, and not a result of my grandfather's genes (he was bald by the time he was 25). I'll probably shave it or at least trim it real short if the loss doesn't subside after a nice vacation. ;)
