Vanity Plate Game

okay all you that have the opportunity to express yourselves on your licence plates.... it's time to re-new my pickup registration.

i can do one of several options from just buying new stickers for two years or i can get new plates with any combination of six figures.

it can be all letters, all numbers or any combination thereof.

Do we need to experience the bad to know the good??

inspired by a few posts from the 'suffering' thread, i pose the above question.. is it really necessary to experience or even know of evil deeds in order to appreciate good, benevolence, peace.. certain peoples and indigenous tribes have lived in peace and probably still do with little, if any, disturbance and malevolence within their communities.

they don't need evil to appreciate good, surely.. one current headline story over here in britain is of a 7yr old girl murdered, shot in the back by a drug dealer because she'd seen his face.

he's just got 40yrs in jail.

Not wanting to sound flippant... but the answer is no... we need to experience the bad to know the bad, and experience the good to know the good. To further ourselves, we have to see reality from every possible facet.

I wonder how long it will be before Megadude finds this thread. hehe

i was emboldened by elsewhere's post where he called his mini cooper "nancy".

the large glass of wine also helped me to make an admission.

many years ago, i named my car "sully" after the scrumptious character in "dr quinn, medicine woman", mainly to tease my daughter.

in my office building we have a cafeteria that is run by another company.

there is this one mexican woman who has just the most pleasant demeanor, every day.

she greets everyone with a smile and a "how are you today, my friend?".

Janet Grove, who owns a terrier puppy called Rabbit, insisted the sign was a gentle joke to discourage callers at her front door. Her late husband put the sign up more than 30 years ago when members of the church called at their house on Christmas Day. But police were forced to act after receiving a complaint. "We were informed by a member of the public who found the sign to be distressing, offensive and inappropriate," a police spokesman said. "Officers attended the address and the sign was voluntarily taken down."

ok you all, i have worked myself and my kids to the bone so that you may have a good time in an ok place this coming friday the 28th.

starting at 8pm and ending (at least the dj) about 11:30...we can still hang as late as wanted....you are invited to join me and some of the finest and strangest mixed group i know in celebrating life and a journey well traveled.

this is my graduation party and yes children are invited!!.
