Scary Pictures in the Live Forever book

i remember as a kid being freaked out by two pictures.
one was of the demons floating away leaving their screaming wives and babies during the flood, and the other was the collage with the gas mask guy and the kid holding his hands over his ears and the dead guy with the chopsticks..... oh yes, did i mention that i wasn't allowed to watch the care bears movie as a kid because of the "frightening and demonic" scenes?

Oh, yes! I was told since I was old enough to listen that I would be seperated from my mommy and be threatened with death and torture. I was told that the persecutors would kill me in front of my mommy or visa-versa for serving Jehovah. God, I wonder why I am so pissed off at the Society?

Return visits
by kj intwo nice jw ladies stopped by my house last week and gave me some magazines.
one of them asked if i would mind if she returned to discuss the magazines and answer any questions i might have.
i think i'd like to attempt some counter-witnessing.

JW's usually hand out backdated mags when they have a stockpile and need to get rid of them. I remember being encouraged to place "back issues" while doing street work.

On CNBC,,,,PRINCE admits he is a JW....Did U believe he was?
by LyinEyes ini am watching prince talking to the reporter on cnbc, and she asked him if he is now one of jehovah's witnesses and he said......."yes".
i have read things in magazines and newspaper articles but i really could not believe that he was an active witness.
well, i guess i had to hear it with my own ears.

Ways to motivate the Witnesses
by RR inokay, so if you were running the watchtower and noticed a slump in its activities, what would you do, how would you improve it or motivate the dubs?
i'll start.
1. issue a watchtower visa/mastercard.

No Visit of Encouragement

i am currently disfellowshiped but attending the sunday meetings at the kingdom hall.
i live with my mother who is in her late 70's and has been a witness for over 50 years.

It could very well be both. The lack of appreciation and love for your mother was covered over by the lame excuse that you are living there, a df'd brother.
