the picture shows a little girl holding the wine.
The WTS wants non-JWs to come and is deliberately giving them the impression that it is just llike in their church. My husband, raised Lutheran, said that only young people who are "confirmed" partake of the wine and the bread.
I am inclined to believe that possibility, Blondie.

Not only are they rapists, liars, and power-hungry old fogey's, they also serve alcohol to minors. Then again, these may all be related, they are probably lying about the reason we are to drink the wine, so the kid will get drunk, and they can rape her and get their power-high. Bastards. FMZ

The picture shows a little girl holding the wine. The write up says only, "drink out of it, all of you . . . " This gives the impression, perhaps, that the littel girl is about to partake of the wine.

This is an interesting page from the Awake! 3-8-02. It is a memorial invite that depicts a young girl holding the wine. The write up only says, "drink out of it, all of you . . . ".
This may very well lead some to think that children and anyone else can partake of the "emblems" at the memorial.

Child porn is not funny. Child molestation is not funny. I agree and it digusts me also. I was abused as a boy, like some others here.
Please, however, get off of Noumenon's case (and mine, too). Yes, it was a joke in poor taste, but nevertheless, it was funny as hell . . . it was an honest, clever and truthful observation about child molestors, not in support of child molestors.

With all due respect, even understanding that the title NGO is very generic... Why would the JWs even give the time of day to the UN in any form? It is understood that there was no type of status/relationship between these organizations and the UN, but I still find it incredible that anyone of them would consider any kind of contact!
I agree. The "disgusting thing" must not even be touched according to the WTBTS.
I don't believe that the UN would just have "casual observers" at one of their largest conventions located each year in Geneva Switzerland. It's not like they were there to take a tour or something. It's too bad that we don't have access to the actual meetings and discussions. My take on it is that they were invited there to share and have a part in the human rights agenda. towards the end of my time in the jws, i fianlly realized that brothers will say one thing, but actually mean another.
after leaving the organization, the more i learned-the more i found out that there was more of this going on than i realized.
what double speaks have you discovered?
They say: We hate apostates because they don't love Jehovah.
They mean: We hate apostates because they tell you all the truth about the "troof." And damn it, they're getting bolder. They're even making t-shirts and coffee mugs!

something i realized this weekend at the circuit assembly...there are too many people that blame jehover (tm) for how they grew up, or blame satan for all the problems of the world.
why can't everyone just grow some balls and take responsibilities for their own actions?
something that i always read on this forums is frankiespeakin's threads on how jehover (tm) is a false god or doesn't exist, or solely created people to piss on.

Yes, Dusty, good point. In my case, as with others who are trying to get out of the org and take their loved ones with them, the org still has some sort of a hold on my kids. I cannot rest or stop raising my voice, or stop pointing my finger and objecting, basically raising hell in protest until I am certain that my kids are safely out of the WTBTS completely. It is very hard sometimes. They keep coming at my kids at various angles trying to slip them the guilt and fear thing about leaving. I am talking about elders, their mother, their fat-ass stepdad, other bros and sisters they have known their whole life and trust. These are the things we must fight against because these people are unwittingly being tools of the org, and I must oppose them.
