do you think that the internet and xjw forums caught the watchtower off guard?

just a few years ago, disfellowshipped ones were powerless and rendered silent by the watchtower.. to what degree do you think the internet has made life difficult for the watchtower?.

They were pretty much in total control before the Internet as JW's that were ousted didn't have a voice. Now we have all this information that is readily accessible and anyone can view it at their convenience. Apparently, a lot of people are.

i had been away from the forum for about a month - during the time that he posted his threads about being confronted by his parents, and eventually submitting his da letter.. him and i had hit it off and were corresponding via pm before he departed, but i never got a chance to get any contact information from him.

does anyone here have an email address or cell phone number that i could reach him at?

i would love to get to talk with him again.

Michael Vick Indicted On DogFighting Charges!

it looks like there is some strong evidence, at least enough to charge him with numerous counts, including cruelty to animals.

if found guilty he could face prison time.

it's hard for me to believe that he was willing to risk his hard earned success for this dispicable behavior!

A number of sports commentators are very disgusted by his behavior...I heard several on ESPN the other day and they said they'd never have any respect for him again!!! Pretty strong language and he hasn't been convicted yet. Still, I don't think he would have been indicted in this case had there not been overwhelming evidence. It will amaze me if his lawyers can get him off. I fully expect to see him do some jail time unless President Bush gives him a pardon! Depending on how his court appearances go, it may be that the team will have to give him a leave of absence, at least until the trial is over, then it may become permanent.

What's sad is that he was so talented...guess he just couldn't get above his raising. That doesn't mean that I have one ounce of pity for him, I don't. He deserves worse than jail time...

Demon Experiences

i believe that in the past i've started threads about ghosts and such but i haven't started one about me asking others if they have had a personal experience with a demon.. a couple of days ago i was talking to my dub son-in-law about how i wish i could believe in the unseen....such as ghosts, the paranormal, or anything out of the ordinary.. he said to me......"well what about demon stories"?

he related some stories that were given at an assembly from some who were greatly bothered by demons, mostly from africa.. so, what are we to make of those with such stories?

are they lying?

If we do tell our stories we get "demonized" by other posters!!! I have some very real stories that happened in broad daylight, but I'm not about to share it for all those who will say it's all in my mind!!! LOL! I guess it was in a few other people's minds at the same time! Here is one that I will share:

When I was about 12 we were on vacation in the N.C. mountains...for some reason my parents decided to take us to see the "Brown Mountain Lights", there were about 25 - 30 people all gathered at the same spot. About 11:45, we saw a light start moving across the mountain...it slowly went down in the valley area and then back up again. We watched for about an hour or so....

Scientists theorize it is some kind of gases?????? Wonder why it starts around midnight???
