May I rant please

not sure if it is the big 40 approaching or just a general disgust of the world but i find myself very angry of late.

mostly due to the crap in the world around us.

i am sick of hearing on the news that people have killed their family, friends or strangers.

I here ya hun. Maybe its because there is no real justice in this world? I dont think its an age related thing either. There is so much that goes on that burns my butt so I have stopped watching the news I cant stands no more! Use the energy the anger creates to do something creative or new dont waste that energy cause it is energy. Take a walk, learn karate or self defence, do something and maybe you wont feel so helpless. However should anyone of those creeps go near one of my nieces or nephews I would know what to do! A short punch to the neck and a chop in the back of the leg and thats real justice delivered!

Actually people must be sick of it. Recently we had a case here in Adelaide of the son of the biggest land holder here shooting someone else in the eye and robbing him of his means of living, etc. The sentence was a few hundred dollars fine. WHat a joke.. Well anyway there was such an outcry about it that the government instisted that the case be reheard and a huge sentence was imposed upon the B%&%$#(*d.

The family of the accused was outraged, imagine that, one of the richest families in Adelaide had to meet justice after all. They didnt stop for a second to think of the victim who was delivering his newspapers and minding his own buisness who got shot in the eye, lost his means of living, suffered severe depression and who's whole life was ruined!

Maybe if more people speak out against this bull that is called so called justice then more realistic sentences will be handed out and places like the Church held accounible for what must be literally millions of cases worldwide! There is not a month that goes buy where new cases in all different churches are raised. IT really goes to show that man was not meant to be celibate at all and it causes great problems and is basically unnatural...which is why 13 uears of enforced celibacy for me is just so wrong....opps thats another story!

some have noticed that i have not been on board for a while, and i would just like to say, thanks for all your concerns and pms.......( to my surprise, i did not think, i would be missed..

i really dont want to get into my health on such a wide place here, but some of you know my situation, and others have found out through personal pms....i some times find it very hard to answer eveyones pms indivually, because of bad days, but please be reasured that i appreciate your concerns, and thank you so much for caring...(((sassy)))....( latley there of been alot more bad days then good)....not looking for pitty party in the least, just trying to explain my situation, wthout going into long winded explanations.....

i know there is a few here that live with cronic pain, and hopefully very soon i will get the call from the hospital that they have a bed and a time slot booked for me to have my surgery.......

Get well soon hun and focus on the days after the surgery when the pain will hopefully be gone! Here in Australia the waiting lists have blwon out to around two years or more, so I am glad you aint on a waiting list here!

Congrats on the wedding! I hear you about the fighting alone bit. I have been doing that for the last 13 years and it wears thin. I wonder if they are such bad friends though that you really want them to share in such a special occassion. Its more important to surround yourself with people who really love and care for you and want to be there! Psuedo friends dont really appreciate being part of your life so they dont deserve your friendship anyway!

Thanks guys! I find it hard to look at my time and think of the good times. I am sure there must of been some but blowed if I can remember them! What sticks is the lack of love and just how oppositie most lived their lives to the so called ways of their God.

Can I clarify what borg means? I think I know what the answer is but I just wanna make sure!

Well about the organisation anyway! I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this board. ALthough I did the fade away I never realised that I still thought of it as the truth. So much of what I have read and electronically listened to has made me realise its just a man made religion like any other. I feel so much better now about my decision to leave that sham. I am also not going to buy into more of their rules about how to live life by writing the letter to disassociate myself. Shite who needs more of the sancitmonius you know what!

Everyone here is open and willing to share and support which is more than any congregation ever did for me. I hope this place will always exist in some shape or form as it is needed to help the escapping members of the great crowd out of hell on earth! That is what I view my time with JW as.

I remember my mum told me before she died that it was a cult that wanted to control me like a lot of other cults and that they split families and want money and so on. I of course was horrified at the time. SHe was right about so much including how my marriage would end... she warned me 20 years ago that he would do what he did and that was why no one else wanted much to do with him....Anyway I digress..........

Thanks to Sassy for tracking me down and introducing me to this site and board. Its funny how she sort of knew I would like it. I did email her and say that I was just letting it go and not worrying about rubbishing it or something but I said I would look. Boy am I glad I did. I never realised how many unresolved issues I had. My eyes have been truley opened and I am so thankful to everyone who has taken the time to do research and expose the truth about the troof......You guys rule!

its been almost a year since there was a thread on this, and i figure its about time for an update.. so, are you single?

Single and loving it but would like to hook up with people for friendship, going out having fun, not necessarily ties. Trouble is no one but me appears to live in Adelaide! It gets lonely at bars and clubs when you are the only one in the city, no entertainment, music or anything. I just sit alone at the bar, waiting for someone to serve me to get a drink. After an hour I figure well looks like no one is gunna serve me so I leave. Well after this happens at a few different pubs I go home. I get in the door and think DOH! I could of just helped myself! Turned on the jukebox myself and so on! Sheese talk about you died hair blonde moment!!!

Serioulsy, I dont like the club/pub scene but I love to laugh, enjoy myself and dance and the occassional drinky poo is not frowned upon! I am almost gulp... here goes, brace for impact...(in the unlikely event of an emergency put your head between your knees and kiss your bum goodbye!)...39 EKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK...now that didn't hurt too much did it chuckles??????

I work for Red Cross who are a real humanitarian organisation unlike another one I know that pretends it is but the name alone puts to bed that lie....I am working on a program that reconnects people to public transport to overcome isolation and such. Absolutley love it. I adore my family an dhave 7 nieces and nephews that are literally my life at the moment but I do want to change that somewhat.

I need some me time and need people to have fun. SO if by chance there is another person that lives in Adelaide who would like to meet for friendships sake and just enjoy themselves and not worry about ties and such lets get together and do coffee and not necessarliy each other

anyone remember those kingdom ministry parts we had to attend a month before the summer convention about not saving seats and not eating during the program.

even our behaivor in the hotel pool was admonished!

and don't walk around the halls during the program, hold that boo-boo till intermission holmes!

My favorite was the instructions about when we should and shouldnt go and use the bathroom. Of course they are not into controlling everything one says or does...not in the slightest.....hey I saw that snigger! COme on people this is not about control in any way.....you will say az we say and think az we will want you to think....you vill pay dearly if you do not follow deze orders......send him to ze cooler to think about hiz errant ways...we have ways of making you talk you know......we have ways of making you think what we want you to think......oh and its all in ze good book so we have ze faith that thiz is correct way of thinking and doing things........in no way similar to what they used to do to people in concentration camps...hey I said in now way similar.. WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE FOOLING??????? It purely about control.

Fibbing about your time

and i told him i didn't have any.

interesting question and interesting answers. Many reflect my view about what the f* is the constant emphasis on time about? Simply put - statistics. It looks more impressive to say our good little girls and boys put in over 1 trillion bazillion hours of preaching this year bringing Armaggedon closer and closerer. I cant recall deliberatly fudging my hours even when reg. pion.

What I can remember is thinking why is time so important, didnt jesus set the example by how he lived his life and treated people. I cant recall him giving speaches about recording time. When did he ever say blessed are those who spend over 100 hours a month in field service but neglect their family and dont actually help anyone do anything. Blessed are those who have more than two people studying with them at any one time, the kingdom of heaven belongs to them!

I think the org has lost sight of what following Christ was all about - helping where and when we can, leading a good life - drinking wine and helping anyone no matter who they are, showing love to all. Forcing people to lie so statistics look impressive is also not scriptual! Your dad has now lied twice over one small act - once on the paper and once to you. Who's purpose does this serve???? What does this achieve in the end? A person with a guilty conscience and a daughter who doubts? What has it achieved?

The Biggest Scandal In Your Congregation

i attended a notorious congregation as a child, the infamous winter gardens congregation!

my cousin and his best friend, both named joe, were elders, my cousin was the po and the other joe was a total loser suck up who wanted to be just like my cousin, joe.

what was even funnier, as i get off point a bit, is that "suck up" joe's wife, cathy, did everything she could do to get her pudgy lil self to dress, look, walk, and talk like my cousin joe's wife, clementine.

Hheheh sorry cant resist this one.. me at one time I actually had my own thoughts on a subject.......great scandle that one... imagine the headlines...sister without husband in the truth dares to have her own thoughts on a subject....elders were seen fuming at a sister who has no husband in the truth for daring to have an individual thought about a subject and making her insight known....elders are dumbfounded how a sister without a husband in the truth could have an individual view... how does this sister dare to be an individual and have her own thoughts, ideas and views on any subject?????? Women can think for themselves cant they??? Lets see what the good word says on the subject............
