I know that South Park can be a retarded show, but they have an episode about Mormons, and i can't believe how accurate it is to Mormonism and it also kinda resembles the JW movement. its great! i recommend downloading it if you have High Speed internet because its funny.

Do You Think We Are Hurting The Organization By What We Do Here?
by minimus in....i sure hope so.
i wonder if we are making a real difference here.
i do hope we are chipping away at the very foundation of the organization.

i think we are because i think almost every one of us knows someone that's a JW. and all it takes is a little bit of pressure over time to get something to crack, so....
i personally don't buy into their stuff, so i think that it hurts the organization that way because i don't want to go out and "preach" in something that i find false which further damages their future growth.

Back to Russell Need help.
by Gordy ini've come across a guy who was a jw, but has now become a "dawn bible student" , that is he now follows charles taze russell's teachings.
he swears by russells six volumes of studies in the scripture" and writings.
i've tried pointing our russells views on the great pyramid, christ coming in 1874, armageddon in 1914, masonic connections etc.

i don't blame russell for the WTS because if things would have went his way, Russellites would be better off, and i would probably agree more with their theology....
so screw rutherford.

Reasons for Moving to Wallkill ?
by robhic ini read a while back about selling the brooklyn facility and moving the printing operations to wallkill (???).
i know it's all about money for the wts, but what reasons did they give for actually going through this involved, expensive process when, bottom line, the end is soon and everything is gonna be killed and destroyed?
why not just "wait on jehovah?".

well few things.
#1 they aren't losing money by moving....even if they lose 50 million in the move (extremly high of a price to move) they are still making ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS.
#2 they'll justify the move by lying to everyone and saying that Jehovah's organization is growing, and the Wallkill building is bigger, so they have to move everything over there. deception at its best to make some FAT cash....

It's not a matter of "if", it's a matter of "when"
by DanTheMan inradical, militant islamists or a "rogue state" like n. korea will eventually succeed in nuking one or more american cities.
of this i am utterly convinced, it is not a matter of it "might" happen, the question is how soon will they succeed in pulling it off, and what will the fallout of such an event be, besides the loss of hundreds of thousands or perhaps millions of lives?.
john kerry in a recent stump speech said that all it would take is one megaterrorist attack to drastically change life as we know it.

i really do agree that i don't think there is anyone crazy enough to nuke the US. The United States has the most nuclear weapons (documented), and if anyone decided to nuke the US, then George Dubya would nuke the whole world. I remember back in the 50's and 60's that the US alone had enough nuclear explosives to blow up the world 4 times.....and that doesn't include russia.
as far as a dirty bomb goes, that would be extremely rare i believe. It would be easier for bin Laden to just jack a few more airplanes, and it would cause a lot more damage.
the biggest threat....the french! french won't support the US in anything, and eventually the next president or two is going to get pissed and start some shiz....

as i said before, if you have a strong enough will and are determined enough, show him the way out....... unless you don't care for him that much, then run like the others said =D

A few questions for a fence sitter
by JV inwhat goes on at elders meetings?
i'm curious, how do they know things that i've told people in confidence?
what do they talk about, do that have a list of people and then talk about every single person?

dustyb
yep, noc is right, no such thing as private...especially if you recieve disciplinary action. plan on everyone knowing within 2 weeks.

Do you think Prince went to meeting today?
by Atilla inhey, just saw prince on the grammys with byonce.
she tried to be all up on his grill but he was no reciprocating.
in fact he looked kind of lame and old, like stuck in a time warp.

prince didn't touch beyonce's gonzagas because, like someone mentioned earlier, the elders would get onto him =D
