the united nation scandal and all other Watchtower Society scandals
by booker-t ini was recently talking to a jw elder at my job that i have been working at for over 20 years(he knows that i am da'ed but still talks to me trying to get me to come back) and i brought up the un scandal and all of the wts scandals that are hitting the wts.
he said it does not surprise him that "apostates" would try and deceive many jw's with lies and 1/2 truths.
i told him that i can get a printed copy of the un ngo membership and that the wts was a member for over 10 years.

From what I hear in our circuit two counts of spousal abuse after a warning from the elders is dfable and the person is scriptually free to remarry.
I dont see how they could say that. Not if they say beastiality is not dfable.

conversation she was going to be announced as no longer pioneering.

They receive an amount of money every month too, dont they?
I think they receive money only if they were special pioneer's, or former c.o's or d.o.'s and their wives. Everyone else is free to suffer through old age without any savings or provision. Bethelites are allowed to stay, of course they stay productive until completely unable.Emma
Narkissos: Agreed. Regular pioneers do not receive any money from the Society.
I do believe the anointed bro and sis were considered special pioneers. I do forget how you become one or what exactly it intails. I dont think they recieve much in the way of money either. Does anyone know what special pioneers recieve at this present time? Just curious. Thx, Tor

We had a couple of anointed people, actually they were husband and wife, who were on the permanent pioneer list. I could never figure out how that worked. I empathize with your mother minimus, nothing surprises me much anymore with the WTS.

What does the Society have against jeans?
by truthseeker inrarely will you find a picture of someone in the awake or watchtower wearing jeans.
even in there so-called paradise on earth illustrations, men can be doing dirty work in the farm, and be wearing slacks.. for example, in the november 15th wt entitled, "do you want to live forever?
", page 7 has another paradise illustration, which has to be one of the most socially-engineered pictures i have ever seen.. the caption, "love for god and neighbor will make living forever worthwhile".

Hard to get over: No New System
by confusedjw ini have to tell you something.. i really find it hard getting over the idea of no new system and all that it meant to me.
to be with my children and their children forever in perfect health.. too many days it just leaves me empty.
i just wish i could shake it and enjoy life, but the idea that we just live for 70 years and die kills me.
