  i recently dissociated myself and the elders keep calling me trying to speak and i don't want to hear it then he leaves me a message saying i have to sign a paper saying i'm dissociating myself since when did it become more of a business than a spiritual manner.

  i'm not signing any papers.

  has this happened to anyone else?

  I think if possible the elders want stuff in writing but they are instructed to never put anything in writing about you.

  Backyard rinks... I was out skating on mine for the first time today

  what a great thing to do.

  this is my first one and i have to admit it was a lot of work getting it ready, but thanks to unseasonably freezing temps in southern ontario, the ice is great.

  the kids are just loving it.

  I used to skate a little when I was younger. We did used to do quite a bit of roller skating with a group of young kids from the hall but then they started to poo poo those wild skating parties and put the kabosh on those.

  i am having the lousiest time ever!

  two days ago, while my mind was still floating in sleep-wonder-land .. i got outta bed, walked to the stairs, and it went downhill from there.

  Well lets hope you can have a break for accidents for a while. Get a bunch of them over with at once. Sometimes they do seem to go in streaks for some people.

  cosmetic surgery!!!

  all these shows lately on telly - like nip/tuck etc.

  highlighting cosmetic surgery got me to thinking of about 20 odd years ago as a dub..how prevalent cs was.

  i knew two young women (aged about 17 / 18) who had breast reduction operations in the same cong, of course it was very `hush, hush` at the time but considering it was a small country cong - that seems like a rather high ratio of non-necessary surgery to me........any other experiences of this?

  I know a gal who had breast reduction as well. She had back problems and that was the main reason. It didnt help now though that her top half doesnt match the bottom half. Now she looks like a flat chested fat lady.

  Making 607 crumble

  during my eight month long study with "elder bob" (moms husband) we have batted around many subjects to say the least.

  but the one that really stands out is the dreaded date of 607 bc.

  im sorry i just will not let up with this date, and him having to prove it can stand.

  I would think if I was God and I wanted people to search out and find the truth and it all had to do with pinpointing the year 1914 and then 1919 as to when the FDS were appointed, I would not have made it necessary to use secular evidence at all. I would have it all written down in Gods inspired word the bible (if you believe the bible to be inspired). Does God expect us all to be archaelogists and experts in babylonian kings reigns. Oh, and we would all have to have the thinking capacity and rationality(or irrationality) of our much maligned Scholar. That would have to be a prerequisite for any to be approved of or by God.

  I left a superior religion, Catholicism, because they changed a law allowing people to eat meat on most fridays. Had I had a computer and known about this site, I would've never joined the Borg.

  I wished I had the internet a long time ago. It would have saved me a lot of grief.
