Personally, I believe you are innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, we don't know if the MJ accusations are false or true until the trial concludes. So his accuser deserves the same treatment as the accused ... wait and see before we characterize. He is no more levelling false accusations than Jackson is proven guilty.

i was not sure if i had understood correctly so, i brought it up to my bible study conductor maggie, i was appalled that she agreed with this veiw, we debated it back and forth, until i got the upper hand, then she told me that i was to "rebellious and strong willed", and that i "should never get married", that i way i would not have to submit to male "headshit" "headship".

people have told me that they were thinking of un-subscribing or at least taking a long break from the board due to people who take their negative opinion of the subject or opinion being discussed, and turn it into a personal attack.. what is happening here?

As far as insults via PM, while they may not be inspiring...wouldn't those individuals just be following the rules - taking their issue/ difference / insult to PM vs. the general population?
anyway ... the great thing about a board vs. in person interactions is you can click away, you don't have to read the threads that get you upset.

Actually Wander, JB also has a thread in play entitled "is it getting hot in here..." where she refers to a number of observations about the tone of the board lately. This elicited my inquiry.
as i was returning home yesterday, i noticed an elderly lady sitting at a card table next to the security line.
immidiately, her "my book of bible stories" jumped out at me.
her table was covered with printed propaganda.
Oakland International Airport located in California has a large table devoted to pushing the JW Propaganda.
Des Moines International Airport (smallish airport) also has a similar set-up.
While I find their message and high control tactics revolting, I have to agree that there right to be their is protected speech. I wish I had the time and resources to set-up right alongside them and push the antidote to their life-ending message.
