looking back, perhaps she was going through a rough patchmakes me wonder.. this morning i had one of those moments of realization, basically from reviewing recent events, and even more so because i was mentally rehashing some conversations with someone who means a lot to me.
it dawned on me the role she has come to play in one of the major events of her life, as well as who she became because of it.

I've tried to strike a balance, WLG, between giving as well as being willing to allow others to give to me. As a rule, I have been one who is more on the giving side, then there are those who, once recognising you're a giver, proceed to take you for every ounce of energy they can amass from you. They will bleed your dry to the point of perpetual emptiness. They sit off on the sidelines and cheer you on. All along they've got their bets placed either on you, as they know you'll accomplish all that's in front of you, which is to thier advantage. Then, when they see your being caught in a tailspin and see you are about to crash, beyond recognition, they step aside and allow you to self destruct.
I've had the unfortunate spin in life where I've needed to let people stay where they are. I've had to realise that there are those who it would do me no good to be of any assistance to them. My giving would only contribute to the further destruction of their soul, as it would only perpetuate thier taking from me, and the rest of society. Somewhere in the hail of gunfire, I've had to step away from individuals, and allow them to walk, themselves, into a firefight. You can give but for so long. Not that I'm looking for the ebb & flow syndrome that should occur, somewhere, in the issuing out, but once you've reached that place where there exist no return, whatsoever, then you place yourself in a very percarious position of emptying yourself to the point of nothingness.

Integ, it must have something to do with that, "Mob Mentality". Get a whole bunch of folks together who, under normal circumstances would, usually, not do anything to harm someone, put them together in a sizeable group of, say 7 million or so, and that mob mentality begins to rear its ugly head. Suddenly you have this unstoppable force that snowballs and takes on a life of its' own. Like the riots that often occur at a world soccer cup match.

" and some people seem to need to belong to an organization.
doing some research on answers.yahoo.com i noticed that both jws and mormons come in for a lot of criticism for being manipulative cults.

I've ran into their community outreach program once while here in the city. Young people who were lovingly and willingly passing out sandwiches and hot soup to the homeless ( myself included ) last year. These young ones were not counting time, but were active participants in attempting to assist people amidst thier struggles, along with passing out thier literature, if that was what you wanted. I was totally moved by thier seemingly honest desire to serve the needs of the community. Socially as well as spiritually. I would offer that as a suggestion, at least as an alternative.

Preaching work - What other religion preaches??
by Black Man ini know the mormons go door to door and i have seen some church of god people occasionally.
who else has organized preaching ministries (door to door, etc.)?
i'm in an ongoing dialogue with relatives and this is one of their contentions - that the witnesses must have the truth (despite the many fallacies) because they are the only one that go door to door preaching.

i'm not sure if you're familiar with the show but in it this beautiful model/actress has to choose between an average joe and a good looking guy.
