A few days ago I read a post the listed WT references that stated Man was created in God's Imge but Woman wassn't. Of course I don't agree with this and neither does my wife. I am unable to find the post and I need the references to convince my wife of this sexist WT teaching. Can someone help me? Thanks.

Just because we fooled you shouldn't stop you from fooling your kids!
by slimboyfat inparents are naturally concerned that their children not make the same mistakes they did.
the society seem to be worried about the power of this impulse to protect one's children.
page 161 of the new book live with jehovah's day in mind reads:a dampening of our expectation of jehovah's great day could reveal itself in the advice we give to our children or to others.

In my opinion, it's not just the people who write and publish this stuff that are responsible. Everybody who promotes or supports those who promote the Jehovah's Witnesses is responsible.
Garybuss, you are a "Hanging Judge".

Is China just Satan's home and his people?
by free2beme ini remember being told that the end would not come until everyone has had a chance to hear god's message.
yet as we know, the witnesses have not been able to get into china with any real organized movement.
for a long time, we expected some amazing change to happen there, much like we saw when the soviet union fell.

james_woods, you raise a good point regarding why is it urgent. Perhaps (and I'm only surmising here) it is urgent for the benefit it has on the one preaching more so than its effectiveness on those preached to. A Christians "preaching the good new of the kingdom" could possibly lead to salvation for a few as well as himself/herself. By the way, I don't believe leaving a religious magazine with someone constitutes praching the good news. IMO a Christian should speak from their heart and use the Bible only as the basis for this. -

I have always thought that this would be the catalyst to the end of the WTS which we are looking forward to. They simply can't operate with oil at $6 a gallon. Remember when oil goes up everything else goes up.
True, but then high oil prices (reflective of increasing demand verses static or decreasing supply) portend serious consequences in almost every facet of our lives.
Blondie, you are again correct. This forum is an outlet for many of us who have no other place to vent our frustrations with the WTS.

In which case, I would ask, then why the urgency in preaching?
One of the answers is that it gives JWs something to do that they believe to be a privilege granted by God. It serves as a force to unify memebers.
Whether one agrees that JWS have the truth or not, Jesus did say his followers were to preach and make disciples. He also said the “Good News” would be preached throughout the inhabited earth as a witness (not to every individual) and then the end would come. When a religion teaches a scriptural truth, then IMO it is still the truth regardless of the message bearer.

If you display the weapon to intimidate and the police are called, you will be the one in trouble.
This is extremely good advice. Have you considered having a Bowie Knife in a knife sheath instead? Of course, make sure you are cleaning your finger nails with it when they come into your home.

The WTS no longer believes that the literal location of Jerusalem, physical Jews, or Megiddo (Armageddon), have anything to do with Bible prophecy. So I guess not
Correct as far as JWs who absolutely follow the party line. Still, some JWs, such as myself, wouldn’t be the least surprised at a literally fulfillment of the Kings of the Earth meeting on the plains of Megiddo to fight (symbolically) against God. Remember, Jesus said that if those days were not cut short then no flesh would be saved (again my interpretation is different then the WTS). If a situation escalated in the Middle East to the point of a nuclear war with all nations being drawn in then I think God would step in. .

What I thought was a crazy comment from the book study last week.
by ?me? inlast week in the book study the paragraph stated that satan used "false religion" to lead people away from jehovah.
citing the teaching of false "truths" in the bible (trinity, hellfire, etc).
i almost had to comment because i do not believe this is so because i think we would all agree that just about all religions outside of jw's are way more vocal about hating the devil, satan.

Actually what is meant is that people incorrectly use the Bile to support “False Truths”. In other words these people claim the Bible teaches things it doesn’t actually teach. My thoughts on the Book Study conductor’s comment that false religion uses false truths to lure people away from Jehovah would be "is this what the WTS is doing?”
