I honestly cam't think of a single JW practice that is demonic. There are quite a few JW practices that are tedious, boring and dumb, but demonic, no.

JWs in North Korea?
by M.J. ini can't seem to find any links to the annual report released earlier this year.
just wondering how many jws are in north korea.
it's a very oppressive place and must be very difficult for any kind of evangelizing activity.. here's an article i found about missionaries in n. korea: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/19/international/asia/19missionary.html?ex=1292648400&en=1735f2f1e2d4ad24&ei=5090&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss.

someday I'll be 60
by darth frosty inthis past sunday took a great ride on my motorcycle with some 'brother's' who ride.
now all thru this ride when we would stop and take breaks and what not, every chance one of them got they would say how great it is for 'brother's' to get together and enjoy 'wholesome association'.
while admiring each other's bikes one made the comment how he was interested in a trike (3 wheel motorcycle.

I'm already 60 and of course never thought I'd reach this age in the "present system of things". I beleive that most who have spent decades in the WTS take the predictions of Armageddon with a grain of salt. Intelliegent, thinking JWs know that they have to take care of themselves financially and physically since there is no guaranatee that the end will come in their lifetime.

Do the dubs know WHY there delivering Kingdom News 37?
by truthseeker ini just got my copy of the sep km.
there's an article, about 6 paragraphs inside about the "false religions end is near" campaign.. i was surprised that the first paragraoh didn't even tell the dubs why they were doing this campaign.
they left the explanation to a couple of vague sentences in the last paragraph about how false religion's end is near.. it seems that the dubs don't know why they're doing this, only that they have to do it and place their 50 copies.. odd..

I read this post earlier and for some reason kept thinking about the question of why JWs are being asked to distribute this track without a clear reference as to why. I believe I know why. In the 1970s when everyone (JWs) thought the end was coming in 1975 a similar track was distributed. Of course the end did not come and there has been quite a bit of embarrassment over this. Now, when we look at what is playing out on the world stage it appears that the Great Tribulation and Armageddon may be very close, so the track. The WTS no longer sets dates but that doesn’t mean that JWs (and many others) have given up on the idea that the end is near (I know I haven’t). The deal is that we shouldn’t try and predict when but we need to prepare others and ourselves on the strong possibility that it is very near. Just my thoughts on the question.

Christian Love
by youcanhaveago inok this is the first thread i have ever started.. .
i have decided to live my life on one premise .
basically that jesus christ said that he had one commandment - love one another .. .
-

Then why are you still here? No one is preventing you from finding the love you seek elsewhere.
Mrs. Jones5, that was not a very loving thing to say.
Love should certainly be the point of pivot for all of a Christians actions. Love for God should motivate us to follow the commands and guidelines set out in the Bible. If we truly have this kind of love rules set forth by men and organizations are unnecessary. This isn't to say we should not be open to counsel or suggestions but no religious leader has the authority to go beyond what is written in the Bible.

I believe that most people who belong to fringe religious groups believe their religion is the "Truth".Why else would they be of that religion?People that reason for themselves and are analytical eventually realize the mind control tactics that their particular religion (such as the WTS) use.I know that for myself a wake-up call was the very fact that the WTS DF's people for reading material critical of that organization. My reasoning was that the "Truth" would stand up to a close examination. Also, Jesus did say that the "Truth will set one free".

Muslims demonstrate that they are not violent by firebombing churches
by Elsewhere inas i said in another post: actions speak louder than words.
muslims were angered by the pope's quoting a 14th century writer who said that muslims are violent in nature.. in order to disprove this statement many muslims took too the streets shouting violent slogans and burned an effigy of the pope.
still more muslims demonstrated that they are not violent by firebombing random churches.. yup... actions speak louder than words.

But as for me and my household if I can save one innocent life in will gladly lay mine down.
The problem is that when push comes to shove your innocent Muslim friends will chose the side of the Jihadists and not the side of peace. Look at what happened in France several months back when the immigrant Muslim population staged a nationwide riot and burned almost 10,000 vehicles. It was so bad that the president of France stated that France would us nuclear weapons against any Muslim country that threatened France. I admire the man for having the gumption to openly recognize the worldwide seriousness of the Muslim threat.
