The woman is allowed to do that and everyone has to decide on his own. It is strange to be against jehovahs witness if you once have been one of them." He said they don't bother about her. Seven Trumpets of Revelation

i read on here that the society teaches that the seven trumpets of revelation are representative of seven conventions held in america in the 1920. is this actually true?

is it old light?

i asked some witnesses but they all gave me a look like i was weird and said it couldn't be right, and i can't check the watchtower library as i can't get it on my computer (apparently the society doesn't think mac users are worthy of the 'good news') i mean... it would be a bit...odd, wouldn't it?

(q): that fourth verse of the second chapter of genesis?.

(a): no, i won't attempt to do that.. what franz "wouldn't attempt" to translate into hebrew is what many have said as a simple exercise an average first or second-year hebrew student in seminary would be able to do.

In the german wikipedia a JW tries to remove this sentence. I as a german would translate as "couldn't" but wanted to be sure of it. Thanks

September KM - 70 alterations in Revelation Climax Book

i can't find a thread on this subject yet - if there is one , please delete this one.. the september kingdom ministry has a 4 page insert detailing the 70 alterations in the revelation climax book which is due to be studied at the book study shortly.

i'll provide scans if anyone is interested.. i will leave it up to more experienced analysts to examine the reasons for specific changes , but just a few brief observations for now:.

p32 box - "they were completely exonerated" changed to "charges against them were dropped" - interesting change of terminology for the 1918 watchtower eight.

It is right in first sentences that one won't need to read on:

Most secular historians point to 587/586-B.C.E. [...] Can the Bible prove or disprove either date?

and then

Most historians agree that 539-B.C.E. is the date of the overthrow of Babylon, for there is much evidence pointing to this. So, it is called an absolute date.

So if much evidence is pointing to 539 and the same evidence is pointing to 587 - why do they hold the one and try to disprove the other?
