  I got a great gift from Santa.....

  ....well, actually from my fiancee.....i got an engagement ring!!!!

  Football predictions for "egg chasers" (NFL)

  well, the upcoming nfl season is about to start in two days, with my team the new york jets being involved in the opening game.

  now i was a little discouraged when our starting qb chad pennington (the best in the nfl) went down earlier in the preseason with an injury that will keep him out for more than half the season, but fortunately for the jets, they're one of the few nfl teams with a backup qb that can be a quality starter, so i don't expect that we will have much of a drop off with vinny testaverde taking the reigns temporarily.

  he'll surpass 40,000 career passing yards this year, and he also has a stronger arm than does pennington, so look for deep plays to the wide receivers.

  Well all I know is my Vikings are out.. waaaahhh!! I?ll be hoping the next closest to my hometown makes it far.. (yes.. I must admit.. I?ll root for the Packers)

  Personally I think that Kansas City is going to go far though..

  2 elders came to my door today, at noon sharp, and i opened the door to let them in.

  they didn't want to come in, so they stood at the door and asked me, "what's stopping you from coming to the hall"?

  they only come once a year and always around christmas time.

  What stops me? well first thing if I really went to my own cong, the elders would have me in the back in a second and take steps to df me for sure..

  but my reasons for not going in the first place is lack of love.. lack of understanding..

  and they have never called once to see why I wasn't attending.. they don't care sh*t for me.. so there is no reason to be there..

  they will be coming back to my house and interviewing me with the updates on my trial.

  What Depresses You About Jehovah's Witnesses?

  many persons express why they are angry toward the jw religion but what gets you depressed, just thinking about it, regarding the witnesses?

  That is so sad Seven.. this is why this whole thing seems wrong. Families are not meant to be divided for no reason other than a life choice.. this is so sad.

  It's ironic to me.. I gained family by leaving.. but lost family too.. I was in a no win situation.. I hate the family divisionmore than anything with regards to this life choice.

  I'm with Piph. It depresses me that friends feel they can not keep me as a friend, just because I no longer chose to live the JW life. I know it has broken my mothers heart and that causes deep pain inside of me.
