  Your Favorite Football Team?

  superbowl is around the corner and just wondering how many of you are football fans and who your favorite team is?.

  me, i don't watch football as much as i used to.

  i'm from huntington, wv and the football team there is marshall university "the thundering herd".

  My brother died last night

  my brother turned 21 on september 24th, a month later the doctor told him that his leukimia had returned and he had a 10% chance of surviving.

  ten days before he died he spent four days at my house.

  he had already made up his mind that he wasnt going to take blood.

  what is the jw stance on having relations with one's wife while she is having her menstrual period?

  one of them told me that because there is "blood" it is against god's law, although i never heard that before.

  I always love how some of the law is followed.. and some is not. How does one ever know when they are doing what is right unless you abstain from everything.

  and they don't believe in oral sex, so it isnt like a woman can't please her man another way according to the rules either.

  Should I have said something?

  growing up i was discriminated for being german and italian not only that my ears grew before i did and was also called dumbo.

  so combine that with square head, nazi and wop and being made fun of for being a jw getting in fights as a kid was very frequent.. so now you can pretty much call me anything you want and i really just don't care, got used to it and it just rolls off me.

  so last week i am at a small birthday party and this guy was making some coments about germans and calling his boss "a crusty old kraut" among other things.

  Well.......cuilture wise.. I guess not. My dad (who was never a JW) is 100% of finnish descent. Where we lived Finnish jokes were REALLY common.. (downers on the Finnish like Blonde jokes are on blondes)... my dad always told finlander jokes.. one time a guy at work took a another coworker aside and said.. boy.. $#$# must not like Finlanders at all.. the coworker laughed and said........are you kidding? $#$# is pure FIN...

  so... it all depends on where you are coming from..

  Coincidence - I think Not - Be Afraid

  so, for the last 2 months, i have no access to my im's or my e-mails, without going directly to the server.

  tonight, amazingly enough, all my im's & e-mails seem to work - for the first time in 2+ months.. i im a friend - and my name doesn't appear as my own - it appears as someone else [b]who posts on only on jwo that i know of[/b] and seems to have some serious issues with other people.. so, to the person who was using my computer - hope you got what you needed, cuz after i dump all this & reload - you won't get in again.. as far as the rest of you are concerned, be afraid - there are some screwed up people here that are playing some serious games.. to the one who did this - my computer is going directly to a "pro" - and if i find out who you were - lord have mercy on your soul.

  you directly messed w/me and my family - and you will pay - i promise you that.

  Actually when I was with another JW db in the past. someone broke into a 'brothers' computer and then used his info to cause havoc.. it is possible...

  Hey, I'm an old female with a much younger guy. And he is the one who wooed me.

  hey........me too.....I'm 44 and he is 35......he found me.. and we have NO PROBLEMS... believe me.. we both are satisfied..

  I think most men are happier though because it is a man's world..

  and I know my man is happy.. he comes first.. and I take care of him.. I may not believe in a lot of things I was raised with but taking care of my man has not changed,.

  azaria, an I understanding your last comment that your mom is a JW? were you raised a JW and then went to fill your void of a spiritual need and now have found that it too failed you?

  I know that I am scared to do. Afraid that although I have this need to find a path to God, dissolutioned I can find one.

  Infidelity amongst JWs

  does there seem to be a higher incidence of infidelity amongst the jws?.

  my brother, who is an active jw and ministerial servant, has an elder friend who was recently disfellowshipped for having an affair with another sister in the hall.

  it turns out this sister was divorced a few years earlier from a "worldly" man who had an affair on her.

  Interesting concept Little Witch. I suppose that is true.

  I just never even let myself think about being with someone else because I thought it was so wrong..

  even if now I enjoy and need things that were considered taboo for JWs..

  I p ersonally feel your experience IS related to exjws, very much so, because it is good for the exjws to see that they are not the only victims

  that is true jst2laws. I have to admit that with it just opening up to me how blinded I was as a JW and controlled.. I have really not looked at the big picture that others can feel the same way from other sources..
