  Watchtower printeries operating at only 50% capacity

  in the final talk at our district convention we were told that the printing plants are working at only 50% capacity (due, it was implied, by divine intervention).. the thought was expressed that this may be because there is going to be a massive increase in numbers coming into the organisation requiring more printing.. as we all know, growth has been minimal over many years now, so the question, where is this growth to come from, and if it comes, how are we going to stop the massive haemorrhage in brothers leaving?.

  A plant that makes widgets 8 hours a day is only running at 1/3 capacity by virtue of there being 24 work hours available every single day. If I am only running 1/2 of my widget making machines for 8 hours a day, I'm only running at 1/6th capacity.

  Gary...I think you got them. Plus they only work 5 days a week and they take off all assembly days and holidays such as Christmas,Boxing day and Easter......Part time job at the best...

  but here it goes.... for those who don't know or remember my story... five years ago i walked out of the kingdom hall for the last time.

  it was the weekend after my dad tragically died and just a few weeks after reading sites like freeminds.org.

  Jhawk1.....Things have looked bad in the news lately.I feel really sorry about the havoc and deaths that Katrina has caused and it does tend to create uncertainty in peoples minds.Your Father had an idea that 2005 would be the "time of the end" based on a thirty year cycle. I am sure he took comfort in that idea even though not endorsed by the WTBTS. Most witnesses need a timeframe to keep them serving full speed ahead. Look at this post I made only a few days ago regarding forty years.

  The other night I watched as my wife did her usual pre-study for the study. I became increasingly puzzled as a flurry of activity ensued. The Revelation book was hauled out along with the Insight books and a few WT volumes. A calculator was produced and used extensively. I saw a number of notes being made on a piece of paper. Thinking that maybe this wasn't a real study but mabe a calculation of how much alimony she could get if she dumped me for a good upstanding JW elder I took a peek when she was out of the room and found this...........

  Please all you good little POZTATE™ boys and girls get out your calculators and confirm this NEW LIGHT that has come out. It might not be too late for us to sneak back into the Borg before the end comes. LOL

  THE REALITY...When main stream rank and file dubs like my wife (a lifer) are looking into garbage like this it shows something lacking with the "spiritual food" being provided by the FDS and GB.

  They are not happy with the resurrection hope and the idea of "no regrets" brought out at the last DA. They need a GOOD APOCALYPSE and they need it NOW.

  They are beginning to slow down on the hamster wheel of life that they are on and are not a happy bunch. I am sure it will continue to go downhill from here.

  Anybody know where Forty started from...A good JW site no doubt.

  I sometimes wonder how much REAL POWER the gang of 12 have anymore. They seem to be isolated and segregated from all the corporations since 2000. Do you think all the new presidents and VP's created in 2000 jump as high and as quickly as when the GB was in direct control? I think not.

  Now honestly!!!! How can they continue to use 1975 as a significant year when we all know what really happened---NOTHING!

  I found that a little bizarre also. If it was a good JW who made up this crap and is circulating it the ONLY reason to use 1975 would be to come up with a 2005 end date.They are truly grasping at straws. Anyone found the "good jw site" this is coming from?

  What gets me is my wife was getting truly excited about the whole thing...LOL Oh well only ten years to go.
