Mostly invisable. When you're new somewhere you just tend to annoy the people who have been around a while. I've made at least two people laugh and I upset a couple of people. I think I got that straightened out. It was a misunderstanding. I think I'm perceived as a smart a$$ mostly or someone who thinks I know it all. For the record: I don't. I won't receive a comment here. Like I said: invisable.

the argument i have heard put forward is that a legal age of consent has little effect on younger people.

From what most women have told me, they didn't enjoy sex as young teenagers. It's not that they weren't capable of enjoying it but for different reasons they just didn't enjoy it. I think I know why; but in the quest for good taste, I will not post my theories here.

i was thinking this morning on some things, and the story/series on hbo currently, carnivale, is showing the not so nice side of humanity.
we all have our dark side.
everybody in this world has one, i believe.
Why?
1. To keep tight control over several million people. The more their time, thoughts and actions are tied up with the WTBTS, the less chance there is the r&f will stop succumbing to WTBTS brainwashing techniques.
2. To keep a steady flow of people into the org. to replace those leaving and hopefully keep the r&f numbers into the postive integers.

I'm with JWBot. I have upset a dear ExJW friend of mine because I tell her that if there is a god who has a burning hell, for people who don't accept Jesus, to burn in tortured agony forever, well maybe the joke is on everyone. Maybe Satan is the creator and the demons live in heaven and in the end, evil triumphs over good. Because if there was a real Armegeddon where billions of innocent people, children, dollies, dogs and bicycles are destroyed.....because if there is a God who could send all kinds of wonderful people to burn in hell for not being sure if Jesus is their saviour.....IF either of these is true, then I don't think God deserves to be served.
I believe it's all about controlling people with fear. In the WTBTS case it's all about fear ruling people, young and old. Far easier to scare people into submission, and so far very legal to do so, than to physically force them into submission. The illustrations in the pubs. are all designed with psychological impact and manipulation in mind.
I had demon nightmares. If I was doing well then I could call on Jehovah's name and they would go away. But if I was guilty of some secret sin or weak in anyway they would mute me and taunt me and tell me I was no more righteous than them. I am happy to report those dreams are rare if not non existent now.
Hey, does anyone have a link to that website where the answer to every problem of mankind is to kill 99.9% of earth's population? The site was run by an exJW and has some good illustrations and hilarious and thought provoking captions. If you have the link please post it.

Isn't it sad? That something we all used to think was so normal, the JW lingo, etc. is so sickening now. I looked at Miss Latin Dimple's (gotta love that moniker) guestbook. It was interesting to read the qualities of Jehovah people listed as their fave. Most of them said: his undeserved kindness. We didn't ask to be put here and go through the hell we all go through. We don't deserve some kindness?? Especially from the God who is supposed to have put us here? I mean, don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed many aspects of my life; but I've been through enough hell to last several lifetimes. Most everyone has. I believe most people are basically good. I had one exjw who is still very damaged by borg thinking fuss at me when I said people are mostly good. She quoted the Bible saying that No one is good except the father. Now, didn't Jesus say that? I somehow think that has to mistranslated. Jesus was perfect and he wasn't good? I never thought Jehovah sounded like a real person. Looking at Carmen's site I still didn't get the feeling he is real.
Is it my imagination or do the JWs in her pics look like their eyes are glazed over? And what's with her pics of her with all those worldly musicians, etc? Isn't that an evil bad no no? Associating with worldly celebs? Or was she just gently using their celebrity to promote herself? Her site promotes Carmen Latin Dimples more than it does Jehovah or anyone else.
I'd say this site is sickening and annoying. Some guestbook signers give links to their annoying pages.

friend will stand by you even when you are wrong.... a simple friend identifies himself when he calls.
Since I am not a JW anymore the only in person friend I have is my guy. He is the best friend I've ever had and he feels the same way about me.He taught me that men and women can too communicate and that there doesn't have to be a big competition and power struggle like the JWs encourage with their philosophy. I am sort of afraid to trust people after such bad experiences in the JWs. I had some pretty lousy experiences and worry sometimes that if I trust someone too much that they will only end up hurting me. I do have one good friend I met on another exjw support board. She lives on the other side of the world though. *Sigh*.

i went to a party last night.
as i stood there enjoying the gratifying numbness of a bourban, i couldn't help but feel a vast disconnect between myself and the scene at hand: ridiculously loud music with the bass at three times it's normal level, sweaty bodies smoking with abandon the filthy weeds between their fingers, people coming in the door shouting a barbaric "what up!
" someone's on the porch getting sick.
Even in my wild days as a teenager, I thought a small group of friends of sitting around listening to music (we had some good music then), talking and getting a good buzz (but not plastered) was the way to party. Dancing can be fun, too as long as the music isn't so loud it damages your hearing. Best party places I've lived? Oahu& Chicago. Even better though? Southeastern Louisiana.

You are both still very young and idealistic. I was once like that, too. I remember when my sister told me that she was GLAD she had her tubes tied, thinking that I would NEVER EVER feel that way. Guess what? One day in my thirties I understood why she felt that way.
I remember my mother and my sister reflecting on their opinions of themselves as poor parents. They both wondered should they have ever had children. I think I recall them both saying that they should have never become parents. I remember being indignant with them over their statements. I thought, "I am NEVER, EVER going to feel this way. Guess what? In my forties at times I have wondered if I should have ever had children. Not to undo my children but because I didn't feel I was the best mother. There are two examples of me being idealistic and then later on having to eat my words.
I hope that you never cheat. I do want you to realize that you will find yourself feeling a lot of things and giving into some things that at your age you don't dream you ever will.
