i'm curious, even though jws must fight and resist, how many secretly hope that their loved one is forced a blood transfusion so they can live and their conscious is cleared of having done everything possible to not have one?

The fact that the vast majority of transfusions have always been "fractions" makes this organisation even more, pardon the expression, blood guilty.
People have died refusing blood because they thought Jehovah would be sad.
They missed the fine print: fractions are OK.
I can see it now. Wrongful death lawsuit regarding blood refusal.
Won't they be surprised when WT lawyers show the wording that it's been a printed "conscience matter" for quite some time now.

ive been here less than a year, but ive notice that the majority of us have faded for various reasons.
we also read the stories of those who got disfellowshipped or disassociated themselves.
in the majority of the cases, their parents will not talk to the children for years and the children will not talk to the parents even if they are dying.
Whoever writes the doctrine knows it's not directed by god, because they just made it up!
The bigger question is at what point, at what power level, do people actually start believing this is the truth?

even if you don't regard yourself as a practicing jw, some may view you simply as inactive, a lost sheep, etc.. if you were baptized but not disfellowshipped or disassociated, you may still be a jw---right?

Been out for two years. Walked away fast and have never returned.
I would have problem disclosing myself , but for my wife's sake I play it cool for the most part.
She tells them "he's no longer one of JWs". ( the same wording as an official judicial announcement )
They believe her and I am treated as such for the most part, although I am technically just inactive and I could get some hardcore love bombing the day I was to set foot back in the KH.
i have posted questions on christian web sites.
those questions have always been polite and i have never used questionable language.
the questions weren't exactly in support of christians though.. what did i get for my efforts?.

he implied that i react badly when spoken to by the elders.. i corrected him and said: "no, i'm always happy to have a conversation.
but what you seem to be implying is that unless i sit and accept and take everything you say, then i am being defensive?

I quit two years ago this summer. It's still work to get my head on straight.
We all wish we never joined. I can only imagine what kind of a person I could have been without 25 years of mind control.
Are you at least missing 50% or more of the meetings?
i remember in our congregation, there were a few older pioneer sisters who would start counting their time early - even before the service arrangement - by standing at a street corner and holding the magazines up in front of them and hoping that any passersby might stop to take one on their way to work or whatever.
as a fresh, new dub, i had heard about this "street-witnessing" work, but there was only one time i ever actually saw one of these older sisters doing this.
and even then i was shocked and embarrassed for her.... because this poor old sister was standing there, all by herself, holding up the watchtower & awake magazines, yet looking as sad and depressed as she could possibly ever look, her whole mouth was turned down just totally sad as she stood there, observing all the "dead" people walking around, hurrying to catch buses, get kids to school, get to work, etc.
I've done so much street work, it's ridiculous.
start at 6-7am. Sometimes go late into the evening.
It was mostly social time, driving around between gas stations, launderettes hotel lobbies and 7-11's

"so even if we feel that we have been waiting a long time, this does not mean that the end is far away or that it is not coming in our lifetime.".
Anybody remember all the hub-bub about the stone ( not cut by human hands ) that was getting closer and closer to the dream image in the publications? Then *finally* it is hitting the feet!!
