Oh Irony of ironies: Googling for a problem caused by the WT and getting a solution from JW.org :-(
by BluePill2 ini have to share this with you.. after leaving the borg i had to concentrate to solve so many personal problems (financial, child custody, etc.
) that it left me with a poor social life.
i just didn't have the nerve/time to make new friends.

and very little written about john the baptist.
who is least in the heavens is greater than john, ? so if I go to heaven im least? and yet im greater than john? huh?
its not jesus, hes not least in anything, hes greater than john,

they are all old men with old viewpoints and they should have stayed quiet behind the curtain.
its sad they have to make fools of themselves in order for people to wake up.
those who seek undeserved glory bring on themselves deserved judgment.

by sowhatnow inand they left the congregations, would you then feel open to be thier friends?.
many on here have the same complaint, that in the jw congregations, there were clickes, no one had time for each other,.
people judged, there was a lack of association, freindship , true concern and love were lacking.

its not like there is some secret handshake or scarf or tie color that ID'S us
if we went to a meeting that is. oh by the way, ttatt is the truth about the truth . at least thats how im understanding it.
I never was fortunate to have made any real freinds with anyone in all 7 congregations i attended in my life,
and id have no way of knowing who left and when. Im 52 and feel totally alone on this.
I have no clue how to find people like myself. i must be the only one in the whole area, lol
but id be happy to know that i wasnt some freak leaving all that behind.

she needed some q-tips, and found a box of them on the free table by the office.

some of us are just lucky, things just happen like that all the time for some people its weird. youd think there was something to it.
like winning the lottery more than once, or even once.
then there are all the normal people who have nothing special ever happen.

so, are we those people? are we the ones who ignored the others? are we to blame for not including others in out lives?
I mean we were all there at one time, have we in fact changed since weve left? what are we doing different now?
just pondering this since it seems even among the general public, there seems to be a problem with having a good social life.
no one has time.

she loves you? do you love her? how long have you been seeing each other?
hmm that can be tricky. how old are you two? dont answer. lol.
would it be right for me to assume that if ANY person with good moral upbringing, not just a jw, that were to take an intrest in you and helped you overcome your problems with your youth [drugs or whatever] you would have chosen to leave all that nonsense behind?
what specifically do you feel, made you choose to clean up your life? its a retorical question, something to think about. was it for yourself or for someone else? dont regret at least that one good outcome, you raised yoyr standards.
well, perhaps you need to have a calm private conversation with her about why you feel the jw faith is not the truth, express some questions that she too may wonder about, simple ones, like
do you think its right to tell people who to marry? [ only in the lord doesnt mean only a jw].
you cant get DF for marrying someone who is not a jw, or someone 'inactive' , you get df for having sex before marraige. at least where i came from anyway.
or, ask her, do you think its right to judge people just becasue they have a different view of scripture? hpw does she feel about this past zone visit nonsense?
once you can get a feel for where her mindset is, maybe you can gently
show her a few subjects on jw facts info, and without forcing her to make any choices, tell her that you honor her feelings and want her to make a truly inforemd choice. ths is your life, use your brain .
when you get involved with someone, you also marry thier family.
oh yes, you do.
