Demons. Afraid or not?

when i was a jobot i had the fear of demons rammed down my throat.. now i am without any faith, i don't have that fear because it seems irrational.

a fairy tale from the minds of some weirdo.. now i don't have to worry about buying stuff 2nd hand.. it always amused me how some jobots would pooh pooh charity (goodwill to my american cousins), shops or 2nd hand shops in case demons inhabited a jumper or a chest of drawers.

yet at the same time they'd buy a 2nd hand car.

Demons. Fear or not? - generally speaking, not.

I'll watch all manner of films that are about demonic possession. The Exorcist (1973) and Hereditary (2018) are very good films.

But I'd never play a Ouija board or anything like that. My reasoning is that I don't know, 100% for sure, if demons exist or not. There's no evidence for their existence, I hope they don't exist, but I don't know for sure. In light of this, I think it's pretty sensible to steer clear of Ouija boards and other efforts to contact spirits.

so, i was wondering what are the funniest insults i've heard/been called.. the woman who taught me the arabic alphabet did a lesson about insults in colloquial palestinian arabic.. the one that stuck out to me was iniqbir or ini'bir.

The one that stuck out to me was iniqbir or ini'bir. Literal meaning: bury yourself.

"Go and bury yourself". lol

I guess it's just telling someone to f**k off without using the f-word.

Here's another insult my mum used to say to me when I was about 13 years old and being naughty: "go and play with the traffic!" lol

Jussie Smollett on trial

there is a trial currently starting - even funnier than the baldwin nonsense.. yes, everyone's favorite actor, singer and hate crime victim is going on trial.. i am, of course, talking about jussie smollett.

he's going on trial for lying to chicago police and wasting their time.. he's obviously as guilty as hell, but i just can't wait for this to unfold.. it's gonna be hilarious ....

Gunslinger Baldwin cracks me up, lol.

He killed someone whilst was holding a firearm which had live bullets. As the film's producer, Baldwin had responsibility to keep live bullets from the set. He failed at that.

He also did point the gun at someone - that's how you shoot a gun, lol ...

they have updated their policy on viewing child pornography.. from a congregation standpoint it is not viewed as child sex abuse and is something that should not be automatically handled by a judicial committee.

it states that a person viewing child pornography should be strongly counseled.

The Beatles: Get Back

i've just started the 3rd and final episode which starts with i presume stella (no, heather) mccartney as a little kid playing in the studio while they record.. overall it's an amazing behind the scenes view of how they created the album and likely how they worked, the past songs and times they referred to and the camaraderie they had most of the time.. mccartneys song-writing and musical brilliance comes through of course.. overall i give it 5 stars if you're a beatles fan but can see it being too long if you're not.. personally, i have an ever-growing collection of outtake recordings of the beatles and bob dylan and have often come to like them more than the released tracks because they are just so raw and unpolished and you often get to hear how a song developed and evolved over time to the version you finally heard released.. who knew we'd be getting some fresh beatles material all these years later?!.

who knew so many fluffy coats and jackets could be worn by so many people in one place..

Yeah, it wasn't as portrayed but I think they all just wanted to do their own thing and it seemed to be George that was most keen to escape from the Beatles shadow - yeah, it seems that the Beatles were kinda just drifting apart as they pursued other things.

George was into transcendental meditation/Hinduism, John was, er, into Yoko, and Paul and Ringo had other projects, too.
