do you think he could get reinstated as president?
do you think trump will run again for president or do you think he will just be a force for the republican party behind the scenes?.
At a rally a few days ago, Trump said this:
"After just five months the Biden administration is already a complete and total catastrophe. Crime is surging, murders are soaring, police departments are being gutted, illegal aliens are overrunning our borders. Joe Biden is destroying our nation right before our very own eyes."
Apart from the typical Trump hyperbole ('a complete and total catastrophe'), it's very hard to disagree with the points he made.
Yes, crime and murders are rising and illegal immigrants are crossing the border, not to mention issues with the police.
Trump will probably be back in politics in some form or another, even if it's just as an adviser to a Republican candidate.
most people over the generations have taken pride in their heritage, nationality and country they are from.
it’s not uncommon to hear of “proud” italians and proud irish people , as an example.
are you proud of your country and your nationality or do you feel shame or indifference?.
No one country is "the best" - maybe, but all countries aren't of equal value, surely?
I shall still watch England play football later today though! - Yes!!! Let's give the Germans a damn good thrashing!

I'm British, and I'm proud of the UK.
It's not perfect and has done some bad things in the past but, on balance, it's a good country (lots of illegal immigrants no doubt agree with me because they're coming here in rubber dinghies, lol).
We ended the Transatlantic Slave Trade, much to the dismay of African chieftains and kings.
We helped wipe out Nazism, we did the world a big favour. We gave conquered territories their independence - this is atypical behaviour for empires.
TBH, it's fairly usual for people to be proud of where they grew up - Homo sapiens is a territorial species, I think it's in our DNA to feel that way.
so, these past few days have been absolute heaven for me.
because matt hancock, the poster boy for lockdowns, the government minister who lectured us on whom to hug and where we could hug, has been caught in flagrante with his mistress, ms gina coladangelo, a hot little piece of ass.
i'm guessing he's done a lot more than just hugging.. i wonder if he's finger-banged her yet?

Thank goodness he's resigned. He should also be arrested and interviewed by the police for breaking his own lockdown rules.
What a c**t ...
No, I don't pray to anyone.
The only exception to this is about three or four years ago, when I saw a nurse kneeling by the side of the road. I walked over and she asked me to help her lift a cat into the back of her car. The cat had been hit by a car and she wanted to take it to the vets and save its life. It didn't respond when she touched the corner of its eye. It didn't look like it was breathing or had any other signs of life. I helped her, then walked away and said a prayer for the first time in years and years. I figured the cat needed all the help it could get, and if God doesn't hear prayers/there is no God, well, it couldn't have done any harm.
since about 2015, hollywood has congratulated itself and circle-jerked over the 'strong women' characters they've written.
i'd say this roughly began with rey in the force awakens (2015).
what hollywood forgets is that strong characters have to have a personality, otherwise audiences don't really relate to them.. well, hollywood should really stop patting themselves on the back as if they've done something special.. strong female characters have been a staple for decades.. here's one: private vasquez, from aliens (1986).
I've not seen The Nightingale - it's a fantastic film.
But I must warn you that it features very strong language, bloody violence, implied violence and sexual violence.
If you can cope with watching that kind of stuff, you're gonna love this film, trust me.
are you ready to celebrate??
it’s such a big holiday that the local electric company will be closed in order to celebrate.
only emergencies will be dealt with on that day.. what are you doing for the holiday?.
If people celebrated Juneteenth then I hope they had a good one.
Pity IKEA didn't. Its Atlanta branch came under fire for putting fried chicken and watermelon on its menu. No, I ain't joking, lol.

Even in the Woke Era, I think Emily Blunt has done a lot of strong characters that do not fall into that pattern - yes, there are directors who write strong female characters even in the 'Woke Era'.
Here's one: Clare Carroll. She's the main protagonist of The Nightingale (2018). She isn't brilliant at everything, she sometimes gets scared, she has her own prejudices, but she's essentially a strong character. She's highly relatable because she's a well-written character.

@hoser &TD - I've never actually seen those films you recently mentioned.
But I can give another strong female character … Ellen Ripley.

I think she might just be my fav film character
