instead i am referring to “leaders” being rich and powerful, whereas the ordinary citizen being poor, and powerless.. i was surprise that the majority of the world is run by socialist government.
the last few countries that are not socialist are the united states and parts of europe.

Should each state vote for changes or should the entire US population vote on a social policy?
So, if Florida and Cali vote for a social healthcare policy and Texas and Georgia don't, then should the policy be implemented in Florida and Cali, or should the entire US electorate vote and whichever side wins, then that result should be implemented in all states, or what?

btw i'm english, and like many of my compatriots, i remember how disgraceful his cheating was in the quarter finals of the 1986 world cup against england.
he clearly deliberately punched the football into the net, and that goal should not have been allowed.

I much prefer the cost of building and maintenance of highway and roadway systems to be taken out of my taxes - and if the majority of your compatriots disagrees with you, then you'd accept that the majority rejected socialism in this instance?
i find it very disturbing that media outlets as well as facebook, instagram, google and others decide that a point of view is not acceptable simply because they don’t share an opinion.
perhaps it is at least right now but i think it’s very wrong.

i've had a few medical procedures.

What the Russian authorities are doing is very bad in terms of cracking down on freedom of belief and religion.
But, at the same time, they're acting for the general good of Russian citizens in that the Russian government has determined that the Watchtower organisation is a threat to their society.
That leads me to a good question: is the WTS a threat to society?

i think many people feel secure with an abundance of rules.
they enjoy being told what to do, how to think.
it makes them feel safe.
Following rules does make us feel secure.
But the real question is how many rules are we following?
I live in Britain and obey British law. This isn't particularly oppressive and it kinda makes me feel secure (I don't crap myself if I see the police because I'm not doing anything wrong).
But what about all the WT rules? These are ridiculous - there are too many of them, for a start, lol.

There are more efforts now than ever to stop free speech - yes, things have got progressively worse this past 10 years or so.

Free speech obviously must be protected. Having disagreements is healthy and part of normal life.
The problem is when others force you to say certain things which you secretly disagree with, or when others force you to abandon certain words to avoid giving offence (e.g. 'people who possess a womb' in place of 'women', lol).
It's an effort by profoundly illiberal people to control what we think and say. If we can't say certain things, then we can't think certain things.
We must urgently push back against this attack on free speech.
