Im curious how long does it have to take for a BAC/JWs to say enough is enough?

i was wondering just how many years have to pass before a bac(born again christian) or a jws before they say enough is enough with no rapture/armaggeddon.

i just feel sorry for them to just be waiting and waiting and waiting without any results.

bacs have been waiting for the rapture for 2000 years and sometimes i wonder is it a mental defect or is it they just are so "blinded" and cannot see they have been duped.

You know book, to me its all psychological. Although I did it for my mother at first, At one short time I felt better than worldly people,like I knew something they didn't know. That didn't last. This religion appeals very much to people who are not just poor or middle class or uneducated, but those who are struggleling with life mentally, finacially. At first its makes them feel better. They look forward to this socalled paradise that in acuality is prosperity without money for all,eternal life. The Org got them all (R&f) afraid to die. Which we all eventually will. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to die, but i'm not afraid to die. Now with this kind of thinking i don't need this religion anymore

most people, i believe, forced themselves to give an answer.

i knew many elders and servants over the years being counseled because they rarely answered.. funny thing....my mom who is 88 cries if she doesn't give a comment.

hated it always will but when I did comment I just love it when they would come up to me and say oh I just loved your comment. I would just look up at them and wonder ...... that was not my comment it was the societys comment Idiot. we are just repeating them dont they know this?

yes shirley in Queens mother started studying when i was 6yrs. I will call that born in i guess. made my own choice at 15 (yea right) something funny, i really never felt I was indoctrinated. even as a child and adolesant I've never really fully believed this stuff. I've never studied hard (only as an elder). Always had worldly friends. Always DRANKED AND $$%%%ED ( IN PRIVATE ON THE DL) OFCOURSE ) THINK IM TALKING TO MUCH? FEELS GOOD

But to turn around and blame the friends for it is just crazy. FRiday afternnoon The brother made this annoucement that if this was not your assigned convention you can go to bkln or queens assembly hall. Which they had just opened up. I mean i dont think thats why it was overcrowed. they had to many circuits going at one time (my observation) I've been here for a long time. I never saw nothing like this before. It took 45min just to get in the parking lot ,got there by 8:15 didnt get seat until 9:30. The lines for the womens bathrooms were 30 forty strong felt sorry for them.

Number two- I heard from eyewitnessess that their were actual fist fights at the gates for seats. Nooo not just pushing and shoving but fist fights????? Look, I ask him three times was he lying (he had a pregnant wife)he said even she was getting pushed around. He looked so discourged. He said he was embarrassed

Number three-Sunday we went to the queens assembly hall it had a comfortble attendance of only 800 out of about 1500seats why didnt they do that in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They Blamed the friends for the overcrowed conditions????????? IS IT JUST ME?????

My take is thats its their method of control. They really don't trust the bros to just go out because they want to, rather big bro is always watching you. Right now going from door to door is a formality for show. I mean its very annoying to people, bordering on creeppy. Time consuming. I hate it, always did.never really injoyed it. I ask my wife of 28yrs- baptized in 1976 when was the last time you started a study going from door to door. Blank stare. (exacly) Me personally I dont want to start a study. Short story-I was in FS once working door to door (had stepped off as a elder allready by then) . This uppiddy Elders Wife and young sister was working a door on the second landing of a house, another two sisters didnt see them and started working on the 1st landing. just mentioned to elders wife that they were there because she couldnt see them. She very rudely said out loud oh it doesnt matter!!. Later i just mentioned to her Elder husband, not what she said so much, but how she said it (disrespecful in front of everybody) You Know what he ask me? Who was taking the lead that day? As if to say i had no right to say any thing to her. Ok thats when the street came out. I ask him if someone came up to his wife and smacked her or attacked her Im supposed to go looking for the bro who's taking the lead that day??? Blank Stare (Exacly)

No Blood windshield stickers

i just walked back from getting my mail and happen to walk right by an automobile that belongs to the jw's who live in the end of my building.

the sticker in the low left of the windshield caught my attention so i stopped to read it.

it was a sticker that said......advanced medical directive.....no blood!

First of all your car will run like crap on fractions of 10w/30 and second if I do get into accident I will give up my blood........ at a fraction (one at a time though)

recently, my mother, who had stopped talking to me because i was 'apostate,' started speaking to me again.. (note that i successfully faded as opposed to ever being disfellowshipped due to dodging every elder question with "i'm not sure, i'm still searching and trying to find the answers.").

Yo peeps i'm not even going to waist my time by watching this video. All 5 of my children are grown left the religion as soon as they got out of their teens. they went thru the same problems that young folks go thru made some mistakes like we all do. All of them doing just fine now. In fact I am proud of them. None ever got baptized. At least I can speak and associate with them. HA! Now make a video like that. I'll watch that. Videos not realistic. Pure Fantasy!!!! Just supports their aggender. Is this where all those kingdom hall funds go into producing such films?
