  i personally don't think this is common among witnesses in the US. I have no idea about other countries. Regardless, this was an interesting read.

  growing up i lived in the middle of florida in the southern part.

  i had a friend whose father was an elder, and would stay at their homes during the weekends.

  one of the "rules", as we all know jw love rules, was that who ever spent the night had to go out in field service on saturday.

  Sounds like my kind of morning. I am an expert at wasting time preaching. Never drove that far though. Prob 45 minutes is the max. A normal morning now entails 2 RVs, one nada-home, break, 1 RV and call it a day.

  the guy in the video you posted has a whole series on you tube explaining how he proved Mormonism wrong and he used witnesses as his comparison. Also great videos

  I love the ex Mormon videos! Totally wish ex-dubs had something similar. They also seem to be very well made videos as well. It seems like someone with a little Ching is behind them.

  Will my inactive JW bring our children up as a witness?

  i have been with an in active jw for 6 years, she now wants to marry and have a child, will she want to bring a child up as a witness, she says not but any experiences?

  will she start go back once we are married?

  You could always ask her. Make it clear that if you have a child you never want them to step their foot in a KH. Her response will tell u a lot.

  Will there ever be another campaign like the 2006 one with kn37 ("The End of False Religion Is Near!")?

  remember the 2006 tract campaign with kingdom news 37 - the end of false relgion is near!?

  it seems to me that jwdom has changed to the point that there will not be anymore such campaigns.

  it seems that the new rebranded jwdom is too soft for such a campaign; it's too feel-good, happy-clappy, and mainstream.. i just can't imagine a tract campaign like that coming from the new jwdom.

  Wow. That was already 8 years ago. This old system just keeps marching on. I don't think they would do another campaign like that again, but then again the Borg never ceases to surprise me.

  I'm not sure.    Someone could argue that the old WT insignia was an idol as well.   I think the standard J-Dub answer would be that the jW.org insignia isn't worshiped or used in worship like the cross is.  It's just an identifier. I'm not defending it though. I think it's all a stupid rebranding effort. But an idol???  My thought would be no.
