  i don't understand how they could shun me so easily?

  i tried to give them everything that i didn't have as a child.

  disciplined them when appropriate...so on and so forth.

What kind of hold does this organization have on them? It's almost as if they've hypnotized them. But, I still don't get it? How could you not talk to your mother? I think that they must of disliked me all along."

  Do you REALLY think that they have disliked you all along? If so, then REALLY listen to what Frannie Banannie and ESPECIALLY what Effervescent has to say. The mind is an amazing and wonderful thing, but it is also capable of making ridiculous choices. Thankfully, LOVE can always enable the mind to be rehabilitated. *hugs* Brad

  Anyone want to try an experiment?

  i have been having a discussion with scholar.

  and like most discussions with a jw we aren't getting too far.. scholar insists that the wts/jws are known for:are known internationally as a clean and moral peopleour organization alone stands as a beacon of truth, hope and faithadvance people spiritually, emotionally and physically.

  there are other wonderful qualities that he attributes to the wts/jws but that is usually the gist of his remarks.. of course most x-jws will say something quite different.. the experiment is this:.

  I have learned that the "world" has a much different view of JWs than what scholar thinks. While talking to average people about spirituality, without them knowing that I was a JW, I inevitably end up mentioning at the end that I was raised as a JW and the almost universal reaction says it all.

  They look at me with pity and sorrow, until I tell them,

  "But I'm OK now!"

  It always brings a BIG smile to their faces.

  Almost Atheist,

  No matter what parents try to do, there are ALWAYS going to be situations where their children are at a certain amount of risk to criminals, such as the example that Frannie Bananie used with the child wandering off.

  Besides, your own comment is a bit of a contradiction in itself:

  "This is exactly why I never leave my kids alone in the car. I see people pull up in front of a store, dash in, dash out, all while their kids are strapped in the car. I've heard them say, "I can see them, so they're safe". Car jackings take place while you're IN the car, and you think somebody isn't going to steal your car because you're LOOKING at it?!?!"

  If the dude has to worry about someone taking off with his car and kids WHILE HE IS DRIVING, how sensible is it for him to feel that he can protect them at all times anyway?

  I pull up to me house with three small kids sleeping.... should I have to wake them all and make them walk in with me each and every time, just to avoid the one in a million chance that a crook may take my vehicle?

  And I agree, Sprint should be boycotted for refusing to help. Idiots!

  LIARS....... not the people who may just tell "little white lies" that really don't hurt anybody, nor change reality all that much....... but the ones that flagrantly and willfully state completely false things, that end up adversely affecting other people.

  Triathlon results with pictures.

  a few weeks ago i posted about having some difficulty with my swim training for an upcoming triathlon.

  well, i finally was able to overcome it and the swim clicked with me last week.

  i was able to swim across the lake and back without panicking twice last week.

  two leading oncologists both agree that my daughter bethany might be alive today if she had not been fed arsenic.

  as you may recall, the wts arranged to take my sick daughter into hiding for two months and payed a doctor to prescribe arsenic.

  the doctor ant the wts lawyers convinced bethany that the arsenic treatment could cure her.

  I am not at JWD much. Your thread was mentioned at JWC, so I came to read about it. I am very, very sorry to hear about what happened to you. It is great to see the support that you are getting.

  I live in London, Ontario, so I am hoping to possibly be able to make the trip to Toronto and join you for the protest. I am going to mention this over at JWC as well, so that all there know about it as well. If there is anything else I can do, PM me please.

  i just got out of court today.

  the judge mentioned that what i was accusing my ex-wife of was "parental alienation".

  yes, she is guilty of it.

  I just got out of court today. The Judge mentioned that what I was accusing my ex-wife of was "parental alienation". Yes, she is guilty of it. But how do I go about proving it? The Judge did not have the authority to do anything about it, YET!

  I remember Avishai using that term months ago, in a thread I had started. Avishai, (or anybody else).... what would be my best way of showing to the Judge what she is doing? Does anybody have any experience in this matter?

  I need to get my kids out of that situation as quickly as I can. We are scheduled to go to trial before September, so that my kids are stabilized before next year's school year. How do I ensure that what she is doing is made evident? I am considering filing another motion of contempt before the trial. My kids can't wait that long.

  Any help is appreciated. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

  too many trolls here lately, y'all need a giggle.

  i got an email today with a bunch of funny bumper stickers but this one seemed so appropriate for this board.

  seemed like it could apply to door knocking and trolling apostate websites.. okay, i thought i could post the image but i can't because i can't remember my password for ftp to my website (don't ask...lol) and i guess only pictures that can be plugged in have to be links to pics (makes sense now that i know it has to be on some web server).
