Thanks Sir82 that gives me something to go off of.
From what it seems like it all depends on the elders that get assigned to him and if they feel he has been gone many years or not enough.
i have a friend who has been inactive for going over 2 years.
him and his wife split, she stayed a jw and he left and lived with a worldly girl.
he timed it so that he was officially inactive by the time him and his wife split.

I have a friend who has been inactive for going over 2 years. Him and his wife split, she stayed a JW and he left and lived with a worldly girl. He timed it so that he was officially inactive by the time him and his wife split. No hours turned in, barely and meeting attendance.
He cut JW land cold turkey when they split. His wife was hell bent on getting him DF. She showed the elders letters that showed he had a gf and did everything possible. She also showed other pieces of "evidence". The elders tried getting him in the hall to "talk" but he dodged it every time, never stepping foot in a hall. The elders finally told her that he is not accepting the Christian authority arrangement so there is nothing they can do.
Fast forward two years and he is still inactive and his wife is still a JW. There divorce will be finishing up within the next 1-2 years.
If they divorce and he remarries, will they DF him then? I find it odd they never DF him as inactive before when tech they could have. Would they DF him 3-4 years later when he has not stepped foot in a hall or been in contact with any witnesses?
His wife sure as hell made sure that everyone in JW land knew what he was up to when he left.
i am getting sick of the broadcast and how 1 new hall or a few thousand members in an area is "proof" of jehovah's blessing.. we just had a commentor at our wt study that brought out the 1.5% increase and how amazing that is and proof of jehovah's blessing.
not to be a joy kill but if i was invested in a company that was only growing at 1.5% and downsizing everything, i'd be selling that sucker and going short.
it hit it's stock performance peak and is retracting.

If anything, I think he's blessing Netflix more and fulfilling prophecy about being throughout the entire world.
Over 75 Million Users in 25 years - Got some catching up to do JW's
40 Million in US alone.
42.5 billion streaming hours - If only that was spent in the ministry
10 billion hours per month - Again, if only in the ministry since this is life saving work!
100 million hours per day!
Blows away any JW.org statistics!
It's in over 130 countries!!!
Two possibilities - Either Jehovah likes Netflix more than JW's or Satan is better at providing "proof" of his backing, then Jehovah.
i was curious, i couldn't find much on it.
if anything, there are a few articles that give advice on how to properly buy a home, mortgage, good location etc... .
do you know if the elders can counsel on this matter or remove privileges over it?

I know a lot of JW that have bought homes but I never heard anything.
I'm wondering because I heard a pioneer say that it's "unwise" to buy a home.
earlier this season i advised my retired father to ignore the use of a tablet during his kingdom hall congregational visits.
his response was hopefull, but between the lines i could hear he had no choice.. yesterday he showed me his new 600 euro 64 gb ipad air 2. he had no clue what he has to do with it, he told me one of the elders will install the jw.org apps.. so, i feel he had to deal with presure to buy this ipad and i think he is not the only one.. do you recognize this?.
gorby.
I love having my iPad at the meeting.
I text, read, browse the web, look at Social Media, get work done etc... All with a dim screen!
This is the best thing to ever have happened! I look like I'm super into what's being discussed from the platform while the meeting goes by 10x faster! I love it!
it has to be starting to fade somehow.
the very last time i went out in field service, hardly any were out.
maybe just about nine people were out and man if you could just see their faces.
Service in the US is dead, besides the few nut jobs that accept a study for someone to talk to. Only to stop the study when it comes time to be dunked.
A good experience anymore is someone taking the magazines or saying "they need god".
In the US service just keeps the R&F busy and talking to one another. I can't tell you how many times I've been out and we do a few calls, break, one more call and head back the hall. People calls are never home, they just take the magazine and that's it.
I know a few people with zeal and they stand out among the rest.
i have read in jw.org that the governing body affirms that judas has been eternally condemned:.
did judas iscariot commit an unforgivable sin?.
his greed moved him to steal money that had been donated for a sacred use.
Judas got the short end of the stick.
Jesus himself told them that one would betray him. That guy's future was set even before he was born. How is that fair? Better yet, where was his free will? If Jesus knew what he was going to do, why not talk to him and try and stop it? Why allow him to do something that would cause his eternal destruction? Better yet, he could have saved his life by never taking him on as an apostle.
Whole story is BS. If I knew someone close to me was going to do something dumb. I would do everything in my power to stop them from making a life changing mistake.
petra!
2015-12-17-boe already, you dear brothers have done so well, sending gifts both large and small.
for in-stance, two children, five and seven years old, sent their pocket money to help build our new bethel instead of going to the circus, writing, "this is much better than that!
They're not trying to get the children to donate. They're just trying to guilt parents/adults with that story. If a little kid can give up $5, surely you can put off that trip you've been saving for and give us $5,000.00.
I can't wait until they try and say they don't ask for donations like Christendom! I've heard more about donating this year then I have my whole life as JW. Everything other talk it's about giving of your physical things.
