does the belief that there is no all-loving diety in which to be accountable to make it easier or harder to treat and judge others they way that you want to be treated and judged?.
since evolution supposes that life and ultimately man who is at the top of the chain got here through a process of the fittest dominating and killing off the weaker, and since most modern evolutionists in democracies no longer think that this is good to practice, how do you deal with the fact that you are a living contradiction of your own belief since you pronounce the same thing both good and bad?
.
Yet another person with severe reading comprehension. Get a grip folks, read and comprehend a little more carefully and you will be doing both yourself, and others a kindness by not wasting their time. Read the posts that led to my comments, the those posted in rebuttal. Just a little tip - this is what you have to do to understand why a person wrote what they wrote and what they mean by what they post. HS
You make a pretty clear statement:
What many religionists, especially of the Christian variety, seem unable to comprehend, is that atheists, agnostics and non-Christians do not view themselves as totally depraved and yet seem to be able to fulfil the Christian ethic to 'not judge others' with a far greater ease than do many Christians, including Perry
C'mon Hilary!

Hillary, Im curious, how is it that you come to a place in your life that enables you to "know" that all atheists, agnostics, and non-Christians are as un-biased and non-judgemental in their thinking as you claim they are?
is "faith in god" a level of suspicion about existence ?
i postulate that it is not.. it was put forward in a thread above that jws must have had some 'faith in an unseen deity', but i reflected that they must have simply had a notion regarding the existence of another power, and that faith in someone reflects a belief in the quality of another, not just a suspicion of quantity.. jws normally do not have faith in the deity described in scripture and hence, in a confused fear, work in the attempt to appease and be accepted, not only misunderstanding love in general but misrepresenting the same to others.
the mandate for performance of works is a faith in the value of their own effort (and that there is likely a deity who is like a boss-man).. .
Paduan,
however they have faith in Gods earthly organization, and that stands as proof their faith is not in vain.
I'm not following that - could you elaborate
What I meant was, in the mind of the witness, their Organization is proof enough for them they've got it right.
Ellderwho trying to be a bit tongue&cheek.

In spite of their doctrines perhaps but it is there nonetheless.
Agreed Nark, however they have faith in Gods earthly organization, and that stands as proof their faith is not in vain.

interesting overturn of a case brought by the dubs.
Ya know whats funny is that I sent this artical to my mom (active dub) her response was " you have to be careful of Satan and his demons" she totally missed the point.
Never mind the fact that the org. wants a cover up.

i was youtube'ing the other day and ran across this memorial to phil hartman.
it is only his work on newsradio, but it captures the man nicely.
the song it's set to brought tears to my eyes: .
One thing about Phil was his timing. And his impressions. I miss his work.
Didnt his wife kill him at home? And then herself?
i consider brooke my friend - but two weeks from now i will be rooting against your bears, babe!!!.
what a finish for the colts - bout time.
i have been waiting for them to get to the "show" since they moved to indiana.. go colts!
Prince at this point should go back to his name after the "artist formely known as prince" did'nt he have the word "slave" shaved into the side of his face?
Oh the irony.
to make a long story short i work with one of my old friends who happens to be a ms. we often get in discussions about witnesses and i have got him too admit that i am right about somethings in the past.
i think he has looked into some of the things we have talked about and found that i am right but he just kinda dismisses them.
anyway here is the deal.
Will I win this bet?
YES! When I was into researching 607 I was in contact with the British Museum of antiquities they settled things for me, trust me, bet the house.
Even when the Society tried to quote someone re: 607 it backfires.(A.K. Grayson) Insight volumns.
