You might like to ask her how she can be so SURE you "left Jehovah" when the JWs ALWAYS tell outsiders that "they cant read Jehovahs heart and dont know who will be saved" when asked who will live through armageddon and be in the paradise.

"Special" campaigns a cause of JW malaise?
by sir82 inone of the principal problems the wts has is, how do they motivate the rank & file witnesses to do more in the preaching work?.
over the past 3-4 years, one thing they have tried is a series of "special" field service campaigns.
two or three times a year, there is a concerted effort made to cover all the congregation's territory with district convention invitations, memorial invitations, "special" tracts, etc.. but, in effect, with these special campaigns comes along a subliminal message that the society expects, indeed demands, that it will be a colossal failure.. for example, consider the campaign to invite the public to the district convention.

Special campaigns mean "dump and go" without having to talk to anyone and so the result is people will do that because they can finally count some time, feel reasonably good about "doing Jehovahs works" and turn in some time. It DOESNT MATTER that the damn things are useless. They serve the purpose of keeping the R&F doing busy work.
It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that going door to door is a USELESS AND UNFRUITFUL ACTIVITY which stopped being effective probably 80 years ago.

These memorial services are for the living and perhaps Michael asked for this to be done. Im sure there is a bit of "15 minutes of fame" for anyone who does a memorial from the JWs at the familys behest. If the parents, mom in particular, did NOT attend this then it probably wasnt a JW sanctioned event.
JW funerals in or outside of the hall, are notoriously "infomercial" and their outline for that talk is horrendous. It basically says anyone who ISNT a JW and who ISNT baptized as a JW...can kiss their asses goodbye because they arent saved or going to heaven or anything else.
Michaels life, his home and his funeral were all circuses.

Well thats what high control groups tell each other to keep the other one in bondage and fear and within their silly little worlds because misery loves company! So if you have the guts to leave they treat you badly mostly because they are required to IGNORE that you are happy! If they dwell on that too much they might want it themselves!! So they cover their ears and go "LA LA LA LA LA !!!!! I cant HEEEEAAARRRR YOU!!!"
Its the Wizard of Oz syndrome. They are all smoke and fire and mirrors and cant do a damn thing to you if you leave...and they know it.

Experience - Did some "Yoga" at the Gym but was scared of demon attacks....wierd!
by Witness 007 inyes the watchtower says yoga can "open ones mind to demonic control..." so, i wen't to a class at my gym held be a pregnant instructor who was not dressed as a witch???
was her baby the "anti-christ devils child" i thought to myself in my witness mind.
we did some relaxing streching and i still did not feel under control of demons!

The man was unfortunately dead in his TRUCK. It was only a matter of a few minutes that SOMEONE would have found him there no matter what RELIGION they were for Gods sake.
Many JWs are into details like that...because their lives are mind numbingly boring.
