I guess the elderly ones are actually better off staying in, because at least they've got something to keep them active. What would they do with their time, if not going to meetings all week? It burns me up though, all the money my dad's spent on gas to haul people around in service for 40 some years, and now that he's old, shouldn't they be offering him rides? Doesn't work that way tho, they still bug him constantly even with his failing health. But do ya think anybody can find time to help him cut his grass? Nope, my poor Mom's out there in the heat, doing a section at a time! I mentioned this to an elder who I supervise at work, and he explained airily that some congregations are just more loving than others!
