I'll try. They are referring to the bible, of course. Yet, even in the bible, it's mostly people claiming to speak for god. Very few words are actually claimed as coming directly from the bible god. Perhaps then, all the rest is questionable, just people arsing around?

Is there any way I can find out from God what is "Truth" without resorting to the bible? Without relying on pat definitions of God can you tell me what God is or where I can find him so I can find out first hand, for myself, rather than having to accept something outside myself written by others? Prayer doesn't work. What must I do? And how will I know ABSOLUTELY whether or not truly and unequivicably what is revealed is "Truth?"
