Ever had someone threaten to kill you, and mean it? Just happened to me.

I just called them back...how long does it take to get a report filed, hmmmm? Good grief.

This isn't a normal part of that job. I'm one of the Directors of the Company, and there is only one person who can override my decision, so the guy figured if he came to me he could "make" me do what he wanted...aruh...wrong.

Freakin loser. And it's always the people you do the most for...

God thats pretty scary. Glad youre OK.

Now instead of Instant Messaging someone shouldnt you have been praying to Jehooba, and then when the delivery guy walked in that would have confirmed your faith and the faith of everyone you told the story to!

Well as a kid my parents were always saying they were going to kill me... but that isn't what you are talking about.

Yup I know the real feeling.

    • Last time was about 4 yrs ago when a client lunged at me through a half door. I got a restraining order against her. Once she was out of the building I knew I was safe but I sure didn't mind the escort to my car after work that day
    • First time was when I was 11 yrs old. I had recently had my father arrested for sexual abuse. After the court case (giving my mother custody) he approached my mother and I on the courthouse steps. He leaned in towards me and sneered, "If I ever see you again, I'm going to kill you." Fortunately he walked away. I think I was levitated off the ground. When I was younger he made us watch while he killed our kittens and said if we didn't do what we were told that he would do that to us.

Sometimes I would like to think I was making all this stuff up. It sure would be less baggage to think about. sigh

i thought you had to go down there and press charges and fill out some papers. he'll get arrested for terroristic threating and have to spend the night in jail and will probably bail out at under $300 which is just enough to piss him off real good not good enough to kill put pist enough to screw your car up.

there will be a court date where you both have to go if you dont make it to the first they set another date where if you dont show for that one it will be dropped. if you do show hes going to make it sound like you wouldnt pay and he will deny the charges and it will get dropped down to a non violent restraining order which is next to nothing then just enough to piss him off to the point where he might try to bitch slap you if he thinks no one is around.

i dont think you have to much to worry about.with the restraining order in place it would be a good time to shoot him if he does come over. my lawyer said if you shoot someone it doesn't matter if the first bullet was between the eyes and you know he was dead he said to go ahead and unload the gun at the person because it makes you look like you were really scared for your life and it shows you weren't in control of your self while it was happening.

    just a thought

My advice is to . . . find a new lawyer.

i wasn't talking about random shooting i was talking about self defense. you just cant shoot someone and say self defense i dont think you can even do it if they break in your house with out a weapon. its getting hard to just shoot people anymore you have to have a real good reason to do it you have to really think your going to die

You kow what, it never even occured to me once, not even for a split second. And it dawned on me after, because I seriously thought the worst was possible, I never even considered praying.

    Maybe I'm cured!

Take it seriously and be carefull. That is just the kind of guy who will lie in wait for his chance to get you.

Years ago when I was a Witness a sister told me that her unbelieving husband had killed someone. Her husband did this while working as a police officer in Palestine, Texas. Using his knowledge as a policeman he knew how to murder this person without any evidence pointing to himself. No one ever suspected him.

She told me this because she was leaving him and he accused me and her of being lovers and would kill us both if he ever saw us together. He did kill her. He was tried and the jury hung for lack of evidence. He got off scot free. The very day he walked out of the courthouse he sent me a message via a Witness friend, if he ever saw me on the street he would kill me.

It was seven years before I stopped looking over my shoulder.
